Riley's POV
Me and James spend the rest of the day together. We didn't do anything special, just hung out together, which was nice. I felt safe when I'm with him, and I know he wouldn't hurt me.
It was starting to get dark, so I figured I should go home.
"Wait, before you go, we should go for a walk together. Please." He says.
"Okay than." I reply.
As we walk, I reach out and grab his hand. I see him look down at our hands and smile.
We walk in a comforting silence, until he suddenly stops and starts speaking.
"Look, I'm still really sorry about Beth, and I know you have said it's fine and forgave me and all, I'm still so sorry and I feel so stupid about it. And I know that you probaly don't feel the same way anymore and are still shook up about Josh, but I-"
I cut him off by kissing him. Partly because I really wanted to and also to get him to shut up. He kisses me back and than pulls away.
"Still love you." He finishes his sentence and smiles. I smile back and we lean in again.
Ours lips lightly brush, when a heavy down pour starts. I pull away and look up, but James cups my face in his hands, and our lips connect again.
We pull apart again a while later.
"Maybe we should go home." I say.
"Yeah." He replies. Our fingers lace together, and I put my head on his shoulder as we walk home together in the rain.
