James POV
Me and Riley walk to the studio, our hands interlocked. Before we walk through the doors of Studio A, she let's go of my hand. Nobody knows that we're back together yet, except for Emily, and Riley wants to keep it that way for a bit.
We walk in and go our separate ways. I start talking to West and Eldon, but my attention continues to go back to watching Riley.
"Are you listening?" Eldon asks. I snap my attention back to them.
"Huh? Oh, yeah." I say. They didn't look to convinced.
"Than what were we saying?"
"Um..."
"James, it's not hard to tell that you were staring at Riley over there." West smirks. I could argue, but I knew it wasn't going to get me anywhere.
"Yeah, I was." I mumble. They start laughing.
"What's up with you two lately? One day you couldn't stand each other, and the next your both all buddy-buddy." West says.
I can feel heat growing into my face. I put my head down and shrug.
Riley's POV
As I talk to Chloe and Michelle, I notice that James keeps looking over at me, smiling as if in a daze. It was kind of cute actually.
I never told Michelle or Chloe that were back together. I want to wait for the right moment.
Practice drags on. We get to the lifting part, which I gladly do with James. I catch him smiling like a complete idiot as we do the lift. I can tell that he's happy, and so am I.
"Alright everyone, that was great!" Michelle says excitedly. "How about we all go to Culture Shock?" We all nod, and head down.
We get down and order our drinks. As we sit down, there was only one spot left. Next to James. I smile to myself and sit down.
"You two sitting next to each other?" West says. We both give him a confused look. "Fine, just try not to kill each other!"
I roll my eyes. Than Beth comes in. Just perfect. She approaches James.
James POV
Beth walks up to me, twirling her hair.
"Hey James. Can we talk? Alone." She asks. I look at Riley. She seemed to be trying her best to not look annoyed or care, but it wasnt working.
"Um..."
"Please James!"
"Alright fine!"
She grabs my hand and walks me to the other side of the room. I sneak a look at Riley. She doesnt look mad or upset, but jealous. I smile to myself. It was funny seeing Riley jealous. It was also really cute too.
"What do you want Beth?" I moan.
"Look, I know we just broke up, but I really think we should get back together. " She says.
"I'm sorry Beth. But I dont feel that way about you anymore." I tell her.
"Please James." She whispers, staring deep into my eyes.
"I love Riley." I tell her honestly.
