Riley's POV

It's the morning of the competition, and we don't have to perform till or even be at the stage till tonight, so were practicing in the room we rented again. When...

"Agh!" I hear someone across the room scream. I look over my shoulder and see Beth on the floor, clutching her ankle.

"Beth!" I shriek, running to her side. She cries in agony as Kate calls an ambulance.

James's POV

I stood to the sides as paramedics came and took Beth away.

I knew right there that she wouldn't be able to compete the duet tonight.

"Okay everyone, why don't you head up to your rooms for a bit, to relax for a bit." Kate says. We all mumble a 'sure' and start walk out, when Kate pulls me aside.

"James, the chances of Beth being able to compete doesn't look to good." She tells me. I sigh.

"Yeah, I know." I reply.

"Head up to your room now." She says. I give a small nod and head towards the elevator with everyone else.

I lie on my bed, Charlie in the one next to me, staring at the ceiling.

All I went through with this duet, getting mad at Riley, nearly losing Riley, than losing her. For nothing.

"Sorry about the duet." Charlie suddenly says. I sigh and sit up.

"Yeah, it's a shame." I mumble. I notice his expression, like he's thinking something over, until he finally says,

"Do you know the choreography for my duet with Riley?" He asks.

"Kind of. Why?" I question.

"Well, say if I got sick or something, would you be able to compete with Riley?" He asks.

"Yeah, I think." I reply.

Than, he starts coughing hysterically.

"I don't feel very well." He says
between coughs. I give him an odd look.

"What?"

"I said I don't feel very good. You should do the duet with Riley." He chokes. I smile a little.

"Well, if your sure your not feeling well, I suppose I can mange to do te duet with Riley." I say happily.

•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

I bang frantically on Kate's hotel room door, until she opens.

"Yes James?" She inquires.

"Charlie is really sick and can't do the duet with Riley." I tell her. She let's out a long, exhausted sigh.

"Oh, what else can go wrong today?" She cries.

"I can do the duet with Riley." I say quickly. She raises an eyebrow at me.

"You know the choreography?" She asks.

"For the most part, and I can just get Riley to show it to me." I tell her.

"Well, if your up for it, what else is there to lose, right?" She sighs.

"I'll go tell Riley." I say excitedly.

Riley's POV

I lie on my bed in the empty hotel room. It was quiet, until a knock summoned on the door. Letting out a dramatic sigh, I get up to answer it.

"James?" I say as I open the door.

"Hey Ri." He says causally.

"What are you doing here?" I ask slowly.

"Charlie's sick and can't do the duet with you." He tells me. My eyes widen.

"Your kidding!"

"No, I'm not."

"Than what am I going to do now?"

"We're going to do te duet together." He says.

"What?" I question in disbelief.

"I know some of the choreography, I just need your help to perfect it." He says.

"Are you sure your up for it?" I ask. He smile sweetly.

"If it involves you, I'm up for anything."
