Monday
I WAS NERVOUSLY fidgeting with my shirt as I was sitting next to Zac, I knew what his name was but I was just confirming on if he was named Zac. I was surprised that he named himself 'Mental'. It kinda made me hurt on how somebody would address themself that way.
"So what's the project going to be about?" I asked gulping down the lump in my throat, I don't know why I was feeling this way around this guy, he's just a normal guy.
Is it because of the rumors? Is it because of his anger issues? Is it because of the intimidating looks he was giving me? Or is it because he just looks cute?
I shook away my questions and looked at Zac, he was still playing Candy Crush. "Excuse me?" I asked again, I let a small frown go on my face, but I swiped it away.
I decided to get bold and poke him, I reached my finger out and poked at Zac getting his attention. He looked at me with a scary blank stare. "What?" He asked.
I let out a sigh and looked at him with a smile, "What's that project going to be about?" I asked again politely.
He rolled his eyes at me and looked at the board, "The board says nothing that we need to do, let's just wait and see what the teacher has to say."
I didn't believe him so I called Mrs. Scott over to ask, "Yes Miss Pearson?" she asked once she made it over to me.
I gave her a smile, "I was just wondering about what the project is supposed to be on."
She nodded and walked towards the front of the room, "Class, the project will be a literature essay about your 4 years in this high school, since it's close to the end of the year, and all of you guys are going to college. And you guys might think why I wanted you to be partnered, and I'll answer that right now, I know that is might be easy for you to write just one essay about yourself, by I also want you guys to write your partner's experience of their 4 years of college. And once you guys are done writing your own essays, I want you people to combine them into one essay." My eyes widened when she finished.
I looked over at Zac and his eyes were calm, I cleared my throat catching attention, "So, when are we gonna start this essay?" I asked him.
He thoughts about it for a second and gazed outside, I waited for him to answer, and when he did he looked back at my eyes. And I gave him a smile, "Well, I don't care when I'm free all week." I nodded at his statement.
"Ok, how about we go to my house tomorrow after school?" I suggested. He shrugged in response and started packing up.
I gave him a questioning look, "What are you doing?"
"We have a minute left in class," Zac said in a duh tone. I looked up at the clock and my eyes widened seeing on how fast time went by. I nodded and started packing up myself.
Once the bell rang I was about to ask to see if I could get his number but when I looked over at where he was sitting, he wasn't there. I noticed that he was long gone and out of the classroom with his friend James.
I brushed him off saying to myself that I would ask him tomorrow.
I took my time packing, I got up and I walked out of class. When I exited my best friend Natalie was leaning against the wall texting her boyfriend, "Hey babe!" She exclaimed once she saw me. I gave her a smile and gave her a hug.
