Chapter 3

Niall

I can't stop staring at the woman in front of me. I was astonished when I saw the new head of Design and Construction Department. She's incredibly beautiful and looks like a goddess but what caught my attention was her face. She looks like my late girlfriend, no, they look exactly the same actually.

Is that even possible? The last time I checked, my late girlfriend's sister doesn't look like her.

"Hikari...." I unconciously blurted while looking at the woman in front of me

She tilted her head at me that gave me an opportunity to see her sexy neck. She stretched out her hand and sweetly smiled..

"I'm Yumiko. You can call me Yumi." she sweetly said

Her voice. It's so enchanting. She's like a mermaid singing a song to lure a man.

"I'm Niall Jack Miller, president of the Miller Corporation Cavite Branch. You can call me Niall." I nonchalantly said trying to hide my emotions and shook her hands

I stiffened when she put her other hand in my arms ang pulled me closer. I can clearly see her chinky eyes and her hazel eyes that are deeply looking at me. Her face looks so innocent and sweet but her eyes are full of mischief.

"Can I call you mine, instead?" she said sweetly

I tried to hide my shock expression as I look at her. I aready met her at Cloud's wedding and I really thought she's Hikari. But now I know that she isn't her and she's up to no good.

She's acting so different compared to the way she acted when we were in Batangas. I know that she's planning something mischievous but I want to join her game.

"Just call me Sir Niall, Miss Dela Cruz." I said with authority

Her sweet smile was turned into a smirk. This woman clearly wants to play with him and she doesn't even try hide that fact.

"Well then, Sir. I have to attend a meeting. See you when I see you." she said sweetly before walking away

Pinigilan ko ang sarili ko na tinignan ang bulto niya papalayo at pumasok na sa opisina ko. Ayoko mang aminin pero hindi ko pala kayang tagalan ang makipag-usap sa taong kamukhang-kamukha ng dati kong nobya. They look exactly the same but I know better, Yumiko is very different from Hikari.

Binuksan ko ang folder na naglalaman ng information niya. She's Yumiko Park Dela Cruz. Her name is Japanese but her middle name is Korean, she's half-Korean. Her mom's name is Yoona Park Dela Cruz and her dad's name is Alfred Dela Cruz.

Alfred Dela Cruz. I felt like I've heard his name before.

Yumiko worked in VD Architects and Designs for five consecutive years. Almost everyone in Architectural and Engineering field knows that firm. It was founded by two young architects and even if it's a small firm, they managed to reach the top. Though it's just a shame that they're avoiding medias. Mailap sila sa publiko at hindi ko pa nakikita kahit ang isa sa kanila sa kahit anong pahayagan.

Well, I wonder kung bakit kailangan niyang magresign at pumasok dito. She's already working in a great firm for years and that only means, she's already having a good amount of salary for being a senior employee.

Did she deliberately work here to play with me? I don't think she's that stupid to leave a wonderful workplace for some nonsense reason.

I remembered Cloud's word when we were in Batangas. Ilang ulit niya akong nasuntok dahil sa ginawa kong paghalik kay Yumiko. I didn't regret it though. Her lips tastes like cherry.
