YUMIKO

I found myself pointing my gun at the emperor. He didn't even flinched and just gave me a mocking smile.

"Yumiko!/Onee-sama!/Hime-sama!" ilan lamang iyan sa mga sigaw na narinig ko pero hindi ko sila binigyan kahit ng isang sulyap

"My resolve will never waver even in front of an emperor who planned to harm the people I treasure. Listen here, YOUR MAJESTY. You don't call the shots in my life, I will live my life the way I want. No one is entitled nor worthy to question me in Niall's life except for his family. Spare me with your damn royal lineage!"

My mind is clouded with rage right now. How dare this people harm the person I love? They just appeared out of nowhere claiming that I am a princess and now they harmed Niall!

"And don't you dare use my sister as an excuse to make me do your bidding! You're just pretending as a righteous person but in reality you want to use me as a shield to your beloved crown prince!"

He suddenly laughed and his laugh echoed around the room. Even my mother started giggling and my dad laugh with the emperor.

"This lass is really bold, probably runs in the blood. Fear me not, my princess. It wasn't a poison, just a sleeping drug."

Nakahinga ako ng maluwag sa sinabi niya. Wait, did he trick me?!

"What do you want with me?" inis na tanong ko sa kanya

"Presumptuous! Hime-sama, you shouldn't speak—" napatigil sa pagsasalita ang personal guard ng emperor nang walang pag-aalinlangan kong kinalabit ang gatilyo ng baril na hawak ko

Tinamaan ang parte ng dingding na nasa gilid lang ng leeg niya. Hinawakan niya ang leeg niya nang tumulo ang dugo doon. Hindi siya tinamaan pero sinigurado kong dadaplis sa leeg niya ang bala. That's enough to scare him.

"Royal or not, you are in my teritorry. Your emperor just threaten someone's life right in front of me. Get out!" maawtoridad na sabi ko sa kanya at mukhang nasindak naman siya dahil mabilis siyang lumabas ng silid

Even Renjiro is standing straight like a soldier. He looks nervous and afraid.

"Yumiko—" mom tried to say something but I cut her off

"I want to speak to the emperor alone."

I heard my father sighed before going out with the rest of the people. Prente akong naupo nang makalabas na silang lahat at kami na lang ng emperor ang naiwan. His playful smile is gone. All I can see now is a cunning emperor.

"Did I pass your test?" I smirked at him

"You exceeded my expectations, princess." he gave me a genuine gentle smile

I have so much questions that I want to ask him but I want to know one important thing. I don't want to beat around the bush, might as well ask him directly.

"Where's Hikari?"

He looks astonished with my question. I am not stupid. He told us that Hikari's death had something to do with the royals. That means only one thing, they want to use my sister's death for something. It's already suspicious that they suddenly want me to go back with them and claim my title as the princess. It's clear that they're trying to prevent something from happening.

There's a power struggle for the throne and his brother is coveting the throne. Aside from the emperor's brother, crown prince, and Renjiro, the only person who can fight them for the throne will be me because Hikari is already dead. If I suddenly claim my title as a princess but gave up my right to inherit the throne and support the crown prince, it will be a huge advantage for Tito Kazu. The crown prince will gain more supporters and even the citizens will be delighted to know that the granddaughter of the empress that they loved in the past supports the crown prince.
