Chapter 2-Killers?

-------Last Time------

"So, Y/N I can tell you wondering why your Mother and I took you to this restaurant. And just be sure not to freak out, but your mother and I wear thinking...well...for you and the betterment of your future that...we...would..well...we.."

"Y/N we set up an arranged marriage for you"

My eyes went wide at that statement made by my mother before I whisper yelled "WHATTTT?"

-------Now------

"Well, we haven't fully gone through with the arrangement because we want you to have some say in it as well" My mom went to grab something from her purse as she spoke.

"What do you mean mom? I'm not quite getting it"

My father cut in "We'll long story short we have a list of contenders for you, who we have agreed could be suitable husbands for you"

"Now before you look at the list, try not to judge the names of the men here." She reaches her arm over the table which held a folder, I took it and glanced at my parents before opening it, both of their faces held nervousness.

I open the folder and quickly scan over the names on the first page and immediately my eyes widen. The names, the names on this list...they are all....killers.

" Honey is something wrong you look frightened. Is it something names on the list? Is there something with those men? Should I be worried concerned afraid? Speak to me. Y/N" My father says slightly freaking out.

" No no no there's nothing wrong with the list. I'm well... I'm sort of surprised that there so many names on it, I mean, who would want to marry me there's nothing special about me I just went to school and got a degree in here I am." I say quickly coming up with a lie, as to why I was acting like that.

" So do you wanna go through with this, we won't force you too. But we only want to do this for your betterment" My mom plays with her hands as she says this as if fearing my response.

I sat there for a minute pondering my options. Do I refuse this arrangement or do I play through with it and find out who these people are, and if they are the actual killers? They actually are I could end up dead. Is the risk really worth it Maybe I will find something more of this if I accept maybe I will find love?

" You know what mom dad I think I will go through with this 'cause I know I won't have any time to find someone and I purposely won't be looking for anyone I think this is the perfect opportunity to try to move on from the past experience so what's the plan of this you said that you wanted me to have a say in this whole thing so what's gonna happen there.

"Well, we've gotten in contact with these men and have planned for you to spend some time with each of them."

"Like dates?" I was slightly confused by the meaning of spending some time with them.

"Not really..." My mother answered hesitantly. "You will spend about 2 to 4 weeks with each and if you don't find them fit you can leave early and move onto the next one."

"Okay...what about work" I didn't know how to respond, I mean I'm going to end up killed, no slaughtered if I spend any time with these men.

"We've talked to your employer and luckily there is a job that is only fulfilled online. You'll be designing some medical equipment or whatever you do, for a major company that's leading the medical equipment push, you will have meetings through phone calls and video chats if needed."

My father joined the conversation" So what do you say Y/N, we won't force anything on you"

My thoughts were jumbled up nothing way correlating in my mind. Do I accept, if I do I could die or I could find love. If I decline I'll probably never try again and never move on from the past. Then there's the past will I be mentally able to go through with this, I don't know. After a few moments of me collecting my thoughts and my parents looking at me and at each other, I finally answered.

"My decision is to..."

Hey, everybody I need ya'll to comment who your favorite killer for the next chapter. So who do you want to spend time with first. Also this is probably the last chapter for today but I don't have a set day for uploads on this story yet.
