I smile at everyone around me, today was the day I was leaving Thomas and his entire family had returned for another party. We had eaten the dinner they all helped to prepare, I had vouched to not eat any more human meat and they didn't take it personally at all, providing me with normal animals to eat. Now all that was left was a giant cake that Luda had made.
I currently stood before it, knife in hand and the whole family around with plates in hand. Thomas stood behind me with his hands on my shoulder as he seemed to get possessive when other males were around me even though we aren't really together. I pointed the knife towards the cake and take a deep breath before cutting into the delicious looking cake of my favorite flavour.
Soon everyone had a slice and I was eating mine on Thomas's lap after he picked my up away from Tex. I had simply been sitting beside Tex and when he had placed his hand on my arm while laughing for support Thomas came storming up to take me away. He'd picked me up as if I weighed nothing before plopping himself and I down onto a single seat sofa. His arms were looped tightly but comfortably around my waist as I continued eating my cake. He would grunt every so often and I'd give him a bite of my cake, making his family aww at us.
I tried to get up but Thomas pulled me back until I promised that I'd be back soon. I kept that promise as I simply got another piece of cake before heading back to Thomas but I sat on his knee only this time and watched a game of charades taking place. I laughed as these cannibals and killers pretended to be trees, cats, ballerinas and even Marilyn Monroe.
My bags were already packed by the door and a taxi was on the way to take me to the airport. I would miss the secluded nature of this place, the simple moments were the best in life. However I was excited for the next killer and location, it was Norman Bates in California. I was slightly scarfed though, well of his mother but I could only hope she'd be okay with me. Or at least Norman's side of her.
I was pulled out of my thoughts as everyone began to yell out a game of truth or dare. I didn't want to play but of course I was dragged in. I went ignored for a few rounds until I heard someone call my name and it was none other than Tex.
"Truth or dare Y/N?" I open my mouth to respond but he cuts me off. "Dare okay good. I dare you to give Thomas her a kiss, on the lips." He and everyone laughs and awws at us. I look over to Thomas who was sitting to my left, he seemed to be blushing.
"Sure I don't see why not, Thomas you good?" He nods and I move to grasp his chin and tilt it to me, I push his mask up and peck his lips. He gasps and when I pull away after a second and raises a hand to brush his lips. I look back and everyone is silently speaking of how cute we are. At this moment the taxi arrives as a horn is honked.
"Oh! I guess I've got to go. It's been grand to see you all again and to get to know all of you, especially you Thomas." Everyone smiles sadly as they see me out and to the car, Thomas kisses my cheek before I go and I wave from the window as the taxi drives away. I see Thomas waving with a defended swing to his motions and it makes me think of how hard the final decision will end up being.
---Time Skip---
The airport is pretty much empty as I pull out the next letter from Norman. His writing is exquisite and better than mine by a mile.
Dear Miss Y/N L/N
I am absolutely honoured to have you consider me as your husband , mother is also very excited to see you too. The moment I showed her your picture she knew that you weren't like every other girl, that you were good enough to marry. I promise to treat you like a woman should be treated, I promise to make your stay perfect. I can't wait to see you.
PS; I'll be in the motel when you come, that's where you'll find me.
Sincerely ,
Norman BatesWell that is nice to hear, I won't be killed by the mother side of Norman. That cleared up whatever nerves I had. I folded up the letter as I hear my flight being called for boarding. I quickly packed everything up and headed to the gate for my flight to a city near the Bates Motel for I'd have to take a taxi to get to the secluded place. I sat in my seat and entered my mind as I waited for the flight to actually start.
I thought about the past months and how I've changed. I mean I've always loved horror and rooted for all the killer but now I have basically become them. Become the very people others have feared for years on the screen. The very people I'd pick one to marry from. But did I feel bad, no. For as Norman himself said, we all go a little mad sometimes.
