"You little B-agh, How dare you I thought that I was going to die!" I punched his chest in anger but that anger left when I realized his chest was bare.
I swam backwards almost immediately and could feel my cheeks heating up. I refused to look at Jason and took a sudden interest in my beach towel that seemed almost miles away at this point.
"Y/N? What happened. What's wrong? I didn't mean to scare you that bad." I felt the water ripple before a shadow blocked out the sun's warmth. I looked up, only to see Jason but this time I could see his chest even more.
"N-nothing you just startled me that's all" I try to look into his eyes as to avoid stuttering but when does that ever work.
"Are you sure you seem to be heating up." Jason raised his hand to my cheek only to gently place it there causing my cheeks to heat up even more.
"Like I said I'm fine." I removed his hand rather harshly for the current moment. I saw a flash of hurt car over Jason's face before I swam back to shore. I laid face down on my towel in an attempt to reduce the color on my cheeks.
Why are you acting like this woman, please don't you remember what happened last time you let anyone in. I scolded myself before I unwillingly let my memories surface.
---Flashback--- (Italic are texts)
I sat down at a Cafe waiting for my friend. I had ordered two F/D (Favorite Drink) ahead of time for my friend and I had a pretty similar taste in food. All of a sudden my phone lit up.
Sorry Y/N, can't make it Justin came in from out of town!!Maybe another time
I sighed, of course, this always happens to me. Any time that I finally make plans they end up down the drain but I don't blame my friend because they haven't seen their older brother Justin in a long time.
That's fine, have fun and tell him I say Hi
My drinks arrived and I accepted them awkwardly, as always. I took a long sip from my glass in deep thought before the scraping of a chair woke me up.
"Hey, is this seat taken." I looked up and my eyes didn't believe what I had seen, Aaron Alexander in the flesh.
"No, you can take it." I thought that he wanted to take the chair to another table but I was surprised when he took a seat in front of me, in front of the second drink.
"May I ask why you have two drinks, Miss..." He dragged out the Miss as is expecting me to tell him my name.
"I'm Y/N Y/L/N, and the other drink was meant for my friend but she isn't coming. And you are?" I decided to pretend like I didn't know him from high school as to not make him feel bad since he doesn't seem to remember me
"I'm Aaron, Aaron Alexander. Nice to meet you Miss Y/N although I do believe that we have met, High school I believe we worked on a few projects together." I nod and shake his outstretched hand. "I know this might be weird but if you aren't going to finish this could I have it." He gestured to the extra cup.
"Sure I don't see why not." And that is what lead to my slow demise.
---End of Flashback---
I sighed at the thought of the past and how much it affects my current life, I mean it's what caused my parents to get me an arranged marriage in hopes of my heart being repaired. I felt bad about how I reacted to Jason's prank with him showing concern for my well being but my past haunts me.
I heard the sound of someone walking through water before it transferred to footsteps on sand. They suddenly got louder until they stopped abruptly. I was about to look up but was interrupted by someone's hands moving in a calming manner across my shoulder blades. All of my tension from the past few days began to leak out of my body till I realized that it was Jason performing the massage.
"Sorry for blowing up on you Jason."
"It's fine, I shouldn't have pranked you, mother even told me that you wouldn't like it." He moved his had to the middle of my back and began to draw his thumbs into my back before he hit a pressure point causing me to let out a moan of relaxation.
"What did you say?"
"Nothing, I...just coughed." I tried to brush it off not knowing that Jason knew exactly what he had done because of his books and mother's knowledge. Jason continued this motion making it extremely difficult to not make a noise but he, fortunately, moved to my lower back
"How are you so good at this? I mean typically you break people in half but now you're being extremely gentle"
"I don't know it just felt right and came as an instinct once I saw you rage walk onto the beach and lay down."
"Well, Thank you anyways."
"No problem. It's the least I can do."
I began to sit up causing Jason to stop his actions. I patted the spot beside me on my towel motioning Jason to sit beside me. I looked up to the left once I felt his presence beside me only to be met with a man in only jeans and a mask but I felt no raging emotions due to the calmness that filled the air.
"That was a pretty funny prank, if you think about it."
"No it wasn't it scared you and I don't want to scare you."
"Thank you Jason, and just to tell you I'm not afraid of you."
Neither of us said nothing as we sat there watching the water were I "almost" drowned. And it was in this moment that I felt that the next couple months would be interesting but the end decision would be a show.
Sorry for the late update, I was busy with a school thing specifically a musical. I hope that you all have an amazing week!
