Gerard's POV

I lay on the couch at Frank's house with my head on his lap. He was stroking my hair. He smiled as he looked down at me. As he smiled and stroked my hair, he sang. I didn't recognize the words, a song he wrote perhaps? The lyrics were a bit morbid, but they soothed me incredibly.

Turn away,

If you could get me a drink

Of water 'cause my lips are chapped and faded

Call my aunt Marie

Help her gather all my things

And bury me in all my favorite colors,

My sisters and my brothers, still,

I will not kiss you,

'Cause the hardest part of this is leaving you.

Now turn away,

'Cause I'm awful just to see

'Cause all my hairs abandoned all my body,

Oh, my agony,

Know that I will never marry,

Baby, I'm just soggy from the chemo

But counting down the days to go

It just ain't living

And I just hope you know

That if you say

Goodbye today

I'd ask you to be true

'Cause the hardest part of this is leaving you

'Cause the hardest part of this is leaving you

When he had finished, Frank whispered something to me.

"Gerard. It's going to be okay. I'm going to get us out of here. I'm going to break us out of this place. Please wake up."

A tear rolled down his cheek and landed on mine.

"What are you talking about, Frankie?" I asked, completely unaware.

Just then, the dream I had not known was a dream until now, started to fade.

When I woke up, I was still in Frank's arms. Only this time, I wasn't in his house on his couch, we were in a locked room in Korse's lair.

Frank was whispering some of the same things in my dream as he cradled me. Tears poured down his cheeks.

I stirred and put my hand on his cheek.

"Gerard! You're awake, thank goodness!" He said through tears.

"I know it'll be okay. I know you'll get us out."

"I will. I will. I promise." He sobbed.

"Shh, Shh. It's okay, Frankie. I love you."

"I love you, too."

He kissed me on the forehead.

Frank's POV

Here Gerard is, with whatever mental illness and a ghost consciousness attached to his and he's being more calm then I am. I knew when he had his calm times, he was incredibly cool and collected, but I was still ashamed.

I leant down and kiss him lightly on the forehead.

"It's all going to be just fine. We'll live happily ever after." Gerard said and smiled assuringly.

"Frank? Were you singing to me... Just a few seconds to go."

"Yes. Did you like it? I'm not a great singer."

"It was amazing. Your voice is better than mine. I loved it."

He kissed me and I smiled for the first time in weeks.

Author's Note

I've decided to add another chapter back a couple of chapters. It will be in between Where Did They Go and A Silent Sobbing. It's going to be called Never Let Them Take The Light Behind Your Eyes.

So if you get confused as to why I've posted some of the same chapters again - That would be why. I'm editing it in.

I like the chapter and I would suggest you go back and read it. Please?
