Janette's Pov-
My best friend, Mikey and I were on the swings laughing at the kids who fell when running by. I've actually had a crush on Mikey ever since I meant him. We got along really well but, I knew he didn't like me like that.
"There goes another kid," I said as the young boy ran by and tripped on a tree branch. I laughed to myself quietly while Mike full on laughed.
Mikey and I watched more kids fall before he got off of his swing. I started to get up and follow him but he turned around and stopped me.
"Just sit down, I have to say something," Mikey said as he rubbed the back of his neck like he was nervous. I got kinda scared.
What happens if he tells me he doesn't want to be friends anymore? What if he tells me he has a girl friend? I wouldn't be able to live with myself.
"Janette, I've been meaning to tell you this."
As he said those words, my heart started beating very very fast.
"I really really don't know how to say this."
"Just say it Mikey, we're friends, you can trust me," I said.
"Would you like to go out with me?"
"Yes Mikey, I would love to."
