#103 "Bestfriend's conflict"

You held a night party at your house with your close friends. Laughter and shouting filled your house as the party went along. It feels nice to play with them, even though you are slowly getting tired by taking care of your guests. But there is a rule you set: "NO ALCOHOL BEVERAGES." Some of your friends didn't like your rule, but it is a must. Because your party is an overnight party, your friends are boys and girls and there are a guy who is interested on you. So the rules you made is for preventing some bad things to happen.

Party are surely good, not until you saw dirty dishes on your sink. Indeed, as the party's maker you can't avoid washing the dishes. So after playing some games with them, you stood up and about to go to your kitchen. However a man held your wrist and asked you, "Where are you going?"

You looked at that man, named Dokyeom. When your eyes went down on his hand, holding your wrist, he immidiately pulled it back.

"I-Im going to wash the dishes," you answered before tucking your hair behind your ears.

"Oh really? Then let me help you. I bet you are already tired for now. So let me help," he offered and let out a sweet smile.

"Sure, why not," you chuckled. Both of you went to the kitchen, away from others' sight.

"So where is the gloves?" Dokyeom asked, looking left and right.

"Ah! Gloves!" you gasped. "I forgot to buy new gloves. Sorry. You don't have to help me Dokyeom. Your hands are so soft and pretty to just wash the dishes. Just go back."

Dokyeom laughed and complained," Do I look like a princess? Hell no. I am a man after all. Plates won't defeat my masculine side," he joked.

After some seconds of giggling, you both started to wash the dishes using bare hands.

Everything between the two of you sounds okay. But actually, it is not. The awkwardness and the silence slowly went in the middle, like a giant wall standing in between.

Dokyeom is not just a friend. You like him for almost years. Dokyeom likes you too, in fact you are both aware of your feelings for each other. Confessing sounds easy, but the situations won't allow.

There is this guy, named Jun. He is Dokyeom's best friend and the guy who has been courting you for a long time until now. Jun is the main reason why Dokyeom could not attempt to confess his feelings for you. Also, Jun is one of the reason why you choose to hide your heart.

What will happen if Jun suddenly knows about your secret? Will Dokyeom and Jun have to break their friendship? Those are the thoughts you always think of everyday.

You did well. You really did well on hiding your feelings for their friendship sake. But is your heart okay? Are you really fine being just a friend with Dokyeom?

While you are in your deep thoughts, you get the cup near to Dokyeom's side. Accidentally, your hand bumped to his hand.

You both freeze when your skin touched each other. No words can describe the electricity flow in your body when you felt his warm and soft hand on your skin. Your heart beats so hard that it wanted to escape from your chest.

So you quickly pulled your hand away from his. However, he didn't let it happen. Dokyeom held your hand, squeeze it like he will never get a chance to hold it in the future.

Your eyes and his eyes met their gazes. Dokyeom's cheeks went red, as well as yours.

You and him only need to say these three words: I LOVE YOU.

But  those words  couldn't come out from the trembling lips you both have while your hands are clutching to each other!

Why is it so hard?!

Why?!

"What are you doing pals?" A voice came out behind your back.

Dokyeom pulled his hand and act like he is busy washing the dishes, and you did the same too.

Jun is now standing behind your back, between you and Dokyeom.

"Why are you bot doing the dishes? (y/n), you should asked for my help  instead of my bestfriend's help," Jun complained while pouting his lips before putting his hand on Dokyeom's shoulder.

"It's okay. I am the one who insisted it," Dokyeom explained, avoiding your eyes.

Jun chuckled. He then stared at your face with his eyes that can melt your existence. This guy really loves you.

"(y/n), you are so pretty," Jun mumbled.

You startled by his sweet confession, while Dokyeom suddenly freeze after hearing those.

"W-What are you saying Jun? Don't make jokes," you complained.

Jun smiled and shook Dokyeom's shoulder. "Dokyeom-ie, (y/n) is so pretty right? Tell her how pretty she is so she will believe that I am sincere."

Dokyeom clenched his fists before heading his head towards your direction. For the second time, your eyes met again.

"(y/n) is..." Dokyeom started in a low tone. "(y/n) is pretty," he continued.

You heart beats crazily again. The way it beats are filled of excitement and thoughts of being in vain.

He praised you, but it hurts that he said it as your suitor's best friend.

"Oh you see that (y/n)?! " Jun gasped. "Dokyeom also said that you are pretty."

Dokyeom looked away, biting his lower lip and breathing  heavily. If only he can escape, if only he can do that, he just wishes to disappear like a bubbles in this moment.

You saw the sorrow on Dokyeom's expression and it breaks your heart in thousand pieces.

"(y/n)," Jun called your name before caressing your hair. "I can't wait to bring you home and call you mine. Please don't make me wait any longer. Promise me you will say 'yes' in the future. Okay?"

You shut your eyes closed and breathe out. When you opened your eyes, you looked at Jun and suddenly stated, "Sorry Jun. I like someone else."

Jun eyes widened, as well as Dokyeom's. They both looked at you with a surprised reaction.

"W-What? W-Who is he?" Jun stuttered.

The answer to his questions solved by your eyes that went directly on Dokyeom's gaze.

Jun noticed how you shifted your eyes to his bestfriend. He clenched his fists and laughed awkwardly. "(y/n), don't joke around. It is not funny at all."

You put Jun's hand away from your head. "Jun, actually, I like..."

"I like (y/n)," Dokyeom interfered.

Jun gritted his teeth after hearing those words from his bestfriend. You also got surprised from it and it made you gasped.

Dokyeom said it again with his fierce eyes, " I like (y/n). No, I love her."

Jun forged a laugh. "Ha ha ha. W-When did you start feeling it? When did you start hiding this from me? Did you lie on me when I asked you if you like her back then?!" he shouted.

All of your friends heard Jun's shout and they dashed at the kitchen. Things are getting intense, it really is.

"Yeah I lied on you," Dokyeom answered. "Before I introduced you to (y/n), I was already in love with her."

"Shut up!" Jun shouted before grabbing Dokyeom's collar.

This scene... was the scene you were afraid to happen before. Now, it is happening right in front of you.
