It was an autumn day. Far enough from summer to have lost the heat and not close enough to winter to have that bite of cold. The leaves had begun to fall and rain was in the forecast. On Wonwoo's way down the school flat form, he stepped on every crunchy brown leaf, savouring it, knowing after the rain they would be a soggy mess.

"Good morning bro," Vernon, his classmate and a close friend greets him with a fist bump.

"Yow," he replied.

The two leaned on a post, observing new students coming in their school. They had the kind of face that stopped everyone tracks.  Guess they must get used to that, the sudden pause in a person's natural expression when they looked their way followed by overcompensating with a nonchalant gaze and a weak smile. All the girls in the school fall for either one of them (maybe both). But despite all the opportunity that came, they are not into playing a love game.

"Here she comes," Vernon stated, looking at a certain girl coming from the gate.

Wonwoo followed his gaze on the way to the girl his friend looking at. "A junior high. You know her?"

"Yup. We were schoolmate back in the middle school. But we were not close." Vernon continued following her presence from the good distance, as if he couldn’t find his voice, cheeks flushed hot. His heart pounded in his throat, threatening to break out. The girl's eyes wandered around the crowd, but his, stayed locked on her.

Since that day, Wonwoo noticed a girl that his friend might have a crush on. 2 years later. No one expect  that, that girl, will become Wonwoo's adopted daughter.

The father-daugther is eating dinner made by the daughter. (Y/n) 18 years old, a student in 1st year senior high. Wonwoo, 20 years old, a 3rd year student of the same school. There are only two years difference on their age, yet no one will believe they are already father and daughter in legal papers.

Its been half of an hour, but no one speak up. The silence stretched thinner and thinner, like a balloon blown big, until the temptation to rupture it was too great to resist.

"So..." Wonwoo started. "How's school?"

"Great. How's school?" She replied with the same question.

"The same."

Isn't it sounds new that a daughter ask her father the same thing about going to school?

"My friends and I went to play in karaoke after school, along with some seniors who are in the same section as yours," (y/n) added.

Actually, they are Wonwoo's group of friends and he is actually planned on going out with them: to karaoke. When he heard that (y/n) will attend the hang out, he declined and choose to go home instead. Well, he is confused how to act a proper father in front of his group of friends.

The two finished their meal.

"I'm gonna wash the dishes," (y/n) offered. She stood up and put the plates on the sink.

Wonwoo watches her followed by random thoughts of: "Rather than a father-daugther relationship, aren't we look like a newlywed couple?" Ashamed by his own idea, he shook his reddened face and stood up. "I'll be in my room. Gonna m-make my homework," he stuttered while scratching his nape.

"Sure. But before you go, can you please get the new sponge up there at the cabinet? I couldn't get it."
