When I opened my eyes, the first thing I saw is Minghao's message.
"Are you ready for our movie date?"
I wore my peach mini dress with laces, put some light make up and did my hair. After hours of waiting, he knocked on my door.
"Yow!?" he shouted.
With a smile in my face, I opened my door.
"Looking pretty huh?" he praised and offered his hand. "Let's go?"
I got his hand and we both walk on the way to his car.
"Ladies first," he mumbled and lead me to the side seat.
He treats me like a princess: princesses in those fairy tale stories everyone dream of.
As I am staring at him while he drives the car, I was captivated by his presence: those eyes twinkling under the sky and his lips that can seduced every cells of self-control I have. I want to hold his hand in public while whispering the words, "You are mine." I want to cherish every moment we will have: moment we can call as: "Precious love."
However...
"(Y/n), can you turn on the radio?" Minghao asked while he drives the wheel.
I nodded and did what he asked.
The music starts playing: ("Friend" by wondergirls)
"~All day I’ve been wanting to see your face
I can’t seem to focus on any of my work
The smile on your face when you sometimes stare at me
Without even realizing I want to confess to you that I like you.~"
My world seemed to stop when I heard the first stanzas. I gripped the bag I was holding and looked outside the car's window.
"~I like being just a friend to you
If it means that I’ll be by your side
I don’t want to forget you
Cuz you’re my most important friend~"
The lyrics, those are the exact thought I have for him. Can it reach into his heart?
"~you′re my best friend
but you can′t be my boy friend
Whenever I look at you,
You always look back at me as just a friend
you′re my everything
but I can’t confess to you
You live inside my heart~"
"Minghao, do you really only saw me just a friend?" I muttered.
Minghao stopped the car on the side. Our gaze met, along as the next lyrics we heard on he music.
"~Whenever I’m staring at you
As nothing more than just a friend
Without even realizing my heart starts to hurt
I’m afraid that my true feelings will show
So I try to hide it to myself
I’m slowly growing farther away from you~"
He turned off the music, and the silence surrounds.
"You are my best friend," he said before he cupped my cheeks.
"but you cant be my boyfriend," I added with a smile.
