~ Fight (Part 2) ~Imogen looked at me with wild eyes as we heard clothes tearing and vicious growls from Jack and Jay. She walked over to me and put her hands on my shoulder.
“Lexi, you’re shaking,” she said. Her voice was fuzzy and disorientated. Her blonde hair tied in a ponytail which was waving over her face. She started shaking my shoulders, trying to snap me to off my trance. My focus was entirely on the growls outside.
Wham
I snap my head straight and shake it slowly. My vision fuzzed for a few seconds and I closed my eyes. I re-opened eyes and focused on a blurry Imogen. She was blowing on her knuckles and cursing. I placed my hand on her knuckles and watched as the redness disappeared. I placed my hand over my cheek and winced as the pain start to melt away. She looked at me astounded and nodded thanks. Jay’s loud and ferocious growl indicated that he was being impatient. Imogen and I walked out of the pack house and stood on the porch. In front of us, a midnight black wolf, large in size, much bigger than Jack's stood in defense mode. Jay’s legs bent slightly and his paws stretched out in front of him. Jack’s wolf. Oh wow. He was the complete opposite to Jay. His dirty brown fur made in look like he was rolling in the mud for hours beforehand. You never know. He just might of doing that. He stood on his paws and his legs, bouncing around on the ball of his paws, like he was in a boxing match wanting for the opponent, in that case, Jay, to make the first move. I turned to Imogen, who was still staring at them.
“What usually happens in a wolf fight?” I asked, completely unaware of what was going to unravel. She looked at me, shell shocked.
“Have you never seen a wolf fight before?” I shook my head no and waited for her to continue. “Like seriously, never ever seen one?”
“No, my father didn’t want me to be brought up with all the violence which revolved around wolves and pack. So every time my father did something completely stupid and started a fight with other packs, he would lock me and my little sister, Lilly, in the basement.”
“Why would your father do something stupid and start a fight?”
“Because he is my father and he was doing the best for me,” I said, trying to end the conversation to getting any more personal, “so what is going to happen?”
“Well, you’re going to stay here and watch that those two testosterone filled wolves pounce on each other and I will be back soon.”
“Wait, what? Where are you going?” I asked her as she began to walk away. She turned around and said:
“Jay and Jack won’t start fighting unless the entire pack is here, so while they arrive you are stuck taking care of your mate and his dick of father.”
“I-I-I,” I splutter but Imogen was gone. Great. I’m stuck with two power hungry wolves and there only frame of mind is fighting each other, hoping one of them becomes victor. I groaned and walked over to Jay. Once I reached him, I crouched down to his height and start scratching his left ear, hoping to calm him down. Instantly he stopped growling and leaned into my palm. With his eyes closed and the soft purring, he was calming down, almost relaxing. And then Jack had to open his big werewolf mouth.
