Chapter 27: Well We Didn't Expect That

Chapter 27

It felt like the room was closing around me. I stood there dumbstruck. A witch. Me? They must all be crazy. How the hell am I a witch? No! No! I am a fully pure bred white wolf.

"Sweetie, did you hear me?” I shifted my gaze to Marlisa and brought my finger and pointed it to me and laughed.

"Y-you think I'm mix of witch and wolf? What did you sniff 5 minutes ago?"

"Lexi" Freddie said sternly. I insulted his girlfriend or friend. I looked at him disbelievingly and said "you honestly believe this mumbo jumbo bullshit"

"Lex, you are the only witch and wolf combo ever exist. That's why you’re so important and the fact that you’re a white wolf makes you even rarer. There have been stories about you, centuries ago."

"So what the fuck do they want from me?" I asked nobody in particular.

"It isn't your father. I met him. He's quite nice.". Rose said speaking for the first time since I walked in. I walked and sat beside her. I nodded for her to explain " He didn't mean to take me and Tyler. I guess he wanted information about you. He isn't the bad guy here. There's someone else. Someone who wants you and your blood".

I looked at her suspiciously " My blood? Why would someone want my blood?"

"Because you have the genes of a wolf and a witch and with that you can create duplicate of your blood. What happens after that can become very dangerous or lethal. So that's why we need your help and the help of your birth parents as well. Together we can stop the person in behind the shadows" Lennox said, her voice filled with sadness. I looked at Jay and nodded.

"When do I get to meet my infamous parents" I said sarcastically.

"Right now" Gretchen said as she walked to the front door and opened it. I felt hands lightly graze my hips and encircle around my waist. I looked up and smiled at Jay who was looking at the door, waiting. I kissed his chin and snuggled into his arms.

Two figures walked through the door, stood in the foyer. The woman had brunette hair and green piercing eyes. Like mine. I could see a tattoo on her wrist. It was half hidden. She had a petite built to her, but she looked strong.  The man hair was shaven to the skull and he was very muscular. They both are wearing leather all over. Jackets. Pants. Even boots. Their eyes scanned the room, scanning everyone and assessing them. I watched them soften when they looked at me. I felt Jay arms tighten around my waist. He didn’t want me to walk out of him arm and quite frankly I didn’t want to move. I watched as Rose and Tyler stand up, Aiden, Aaron and Steve all move in front of me, like they were protecting me. I walked out of Jay’s embrace and felt him walking with me. I stood in front of my protectors and assessed my parents.

“How did you get past the border patroller?” I asked. The women lip turned to a smirk.

“We swiped their necks. Don’t worry, they will be fine. Just give them a few hours”. I took a step forward and smashed my fist into my mother’s face. I took a step back before she could hit me again.

“Who the hell do you think you are? You think that you can come in here and hurt my pack. You crossed a line when you hurt and took my mate’s sister and her mate. What the hell were you thinking? You want alliance. ASK! Don’t go hurting people I care about so you can get what you want.”

“Our daughter is feisty” the man said, chuckling. I snapped my head toward him and growled. I felt my teeth seeping through my gums.

“You wanna have a crack at it too, baldly?” Jay came in front of me and placed his hands on my hips. I burrowed my face in neck, devouring myself in his scent. My heart rate slowly started to lower. I straighten myself and looked at my parents.

“I’m Melissa Forrester and this is my husband Michael.” Melisa said as she stuck out her in front of me. I slowly shook it and then did the same with Michael.

“Before we start with anything, we have heard some stories that you guys have a mole in your pack that has been sharing everything about Lexi to the ‘person behind the shadows’.”

We all nodded and waited for them to continue.

“We know who it is. It’s-“

“Me” We all turned around and groaned,

“For fuck sakes” I screamed “You vindictive crazy bitch. Why? I thought you stopped hating me? I thought we were okay? Do you still want him? Do you want Jay so much you put everyone in this pack at risk?”

“I-I-I” Alexis stuttered taking a step forward, but I wasn’t hearing any of it

“Huh?! Why?! Why would you put the people that care about you in the risk of freaking dying?”

She whispered so softly. I almost thought I missed it. Alexis took another step towards me.

“He’s my mate”. Glass shattering in the kitchen broke my attention from Alexis to the window. When my eyes wavered back to Alexis, she was lying in pool of her own blood. A bullet hole in her back.

Our only way to find who the heck this person behind the shadows is, is dead. Great!
