Heeyyyy guyyyysssss. Heads up, this chapter is seriously short. Like 800 words on Word short, but it is really vital for the next couple of chapters. I've been reading A Fault In Our Stars by John Green. My friend cried. So I cried. So far it's a good book. Interesting. On with the chapter. Apologies for the shortness. This isn't edited.

-Dream-
The night sky loomed upon the pack. I walked towards the dead bodies in a pile. It was supposed to be a battle between father and son. Instead somehow the pack got involved. I lifted my head up and smelt the air. Something overcame my senses. Blood. I could hear Snow pounding in my head telling me to follow the trail of blood. My feet began taking me in the trial of the blood. My heart was pounding. I couldn’t feel Jay. Something was wrong. I could feel it. My feet stopped and I noticed I was looking at the ground. I lifted my gaze and my heart broke into pieces.
JAY
Lying there on the ground, bleeding. I ran as fast as I could towards him. My knees gave way and in an instant I was beside him. I checked his pulse. It was faint but it was there. I placed my hands onto his face and channeling my healing powers. I looked at him. He wasn’t healing. He was getting worse. I watched as the color began to fade from his check. I placed my hands over his heart. I channeled my healing powers towards his heart. I felt two hands grab my wrist. I opened my eyes and smiled. Jay smiled at my weakly.
“You’re going to be okay,” I said. I don’t know whether I was trying to convince myself or him.
“No, I’m not,” he said. His voice sounded hoarse. Like his throat hadn’t had water in it for days.
“No, you’re going to be okay, perfectly fine,” I replied instantly. I could feel my eyes water and tear spilling onto my checks
“Lexi, baby, I’m not,” he started, “my time has come to an end. My father is dead and I will be soon too. I want you to lead this pack as if I am still going to be there.”
“You there, you stubborn old man,” I said smiling, "you’re still going to be here. The doctors are going to make you better. I don’t care if you are in a wheelchair for the rest of your life. It still means you are here, with me.”
“I love you Lexi,” he said, “I’m sorry.” I could see his eyes begin to close. His heart beginning to slow down. I laid my head on his chest while tears began to spill out. I felt pain in my chest. My heart too, beginning to slow down. My head fell back onto the ground. Darkness soon overcame the light. The last thing I heard was someone calling my name.
LEXI
LEXI
I shot up. I could feel sweat all over my face and chest. I looked around the room. My eyes were adjusting to the darkness. I felt hands over my face. My eyes diverted over to a grief stricken Jay. His normal spiky hair and become flatten and went everywhere. His lips were parted as he took steady breaths. I reached over to his face and let my hand caress his face. I watched as he leaned towards my hand and closed his eyes. He let out a shaky breath and re-opened his eyes. His eyes were roaming my body checking to see if I was hurt.
“What happened?” I said after a few minutes. He closed his eyes like he was trying to remember it. He opened his eyes and I could see tears forming.
“You were thrashing around crying out my name,” he said as he picked me up and placed me on his lap. I buried my head in the crook of his neck and breathed in his scent. It instantly calmed me down and I wasn’t the one scared. Yeah, I was shaken, but I could feel Jay was 10 times more scared, “It’s like you were screaming murder.”
“Yeah, it was just a bad dream, nothing but a bad dream, just forget about it,” I said getting off his lap, instantly missing his touch and lying back onto the bed. Jay turned over to me and sighed. I could feel a mix of anger and frightfulness radiating of him.
“Are you fricking kidding me?” Jay said with anger laced in his tone. "In the middle of the night, I hear you whimpering, crying out my name, tugging onto my shirt and you’re asking me to forget about it.”
I nodded and closed my eyes, tears threating to escape. I felt the bed dip and an arm encircle my waist. Jay kissed the back of head and said:
“I will not forget about this.”
