Chapter 34: Stages

3 months into Lexi's pregnancy (3 Months)

I looked at myself in the mirror. My tummy now twice what it was 3 months ago. My eyes kept looking at the mirror and back at my tummy.

"Jay? " I said resuming looking at my stomach.

"Hmmm?" His muffled tone came from the bed. I looked at him and sighed. Jay was on his stomach. His head between the mountains of pillows. His arms stretched outwards.

"Jay!" I said stomping my foot on the ground. I admit it was childish.

"Kitten, it's 6:30am on a Saturday.Can ou show me after 10:30am and please come back to bed before you shake the entire house awake"

"Are you calling me fat?!?!"

I stood there waiting for Jay to answer. I watched as he got out of bed and came towards me. He placed his hands on my hips and leaned his forehead against mine.

"You're skinny as always!" He began walking towards the bathroom.

"I'm fat Jay. Tell me I'm fat" He walked out of the bathroom, moments later, returning. " Jay, I'm fat. Don't you see my stomach growing?"

He turned around, his eyes burning holes on my eyes. In two strides he was standing infront of me. He placed his hands on my growing stomach and kissed it.

"Kitten, you not fat, okay. Our baby is just growing inside you beautful stomach each day. It showing how fast our life is going."

I sighed deeply, argeeing with what Jay was saying. He began rubbing small circles on my back, making me lean against his body. Behind Jay, was our dresser. On it was alot of pictures in frames. The one in the middle stood out from the rest.

3 months ago

Richard had just finished wiping the remaining gel of my stomach. Once i rolled down my shirt, i looked over to Jay, who hadn't said a word since Richard started cleaning me up.

"Baby?" i asked Jay, grabbing onto his hand, trying to get his attention. He returned back to the land of the living, but his eyes still seemd lost. "Jay?"

"Hmm?" He said not paying attention. I snapped my eyes over to door when Richard returned.

"I forgot to ask. Did you guys want pictures?"

Before i could answer, Jay said "Yeah, alot of them. I want hundreds."

"Hundreds might not be possible, but how about 5. And i'll save it onto the computer so you see it anytime you want."

i nodded and thanked Richard, before again waling out the door. I urned to Jay, asumed. "Hundreds?"

"I want everyone to see our pecious baby. You knwow we should put it on the dresser in our room"

I smiled at the ultrasound picture.

3 months later (6 Months)

My eyes were closed as I laid down on the bed. I could hear Richard humming to an unfair tune. I gasped quietly when I felt a cold gel being squirted on my tummy.
