before the gala

Today I woke up really earlier because I couldn't sleep since tonight is going to be the gala and I'm still not sure if I could do the dance properly I'm still super nervous but I know that P'Pha will be there whether I need him, that I don't have to be scared because he would always be there for me.

I got out of bed and started to prepare for class while changing my clothes. P'Pha texted me if I wanted to have breakfast together with him.

I quickly texted him back that "I would love to P'Pha just give me 15 mins to get ready because I still haven't finished preparing yet"

He then replied "okay see you yo. I will be waiting for you in front of your dorm"

I quickly finished preparing myself and hurriedly went downstairs, I saw that P'Pha was already there standing beside his car.

I went to him and greeted him, he smiled at me and I got inside his car. We went to one of the noodle restaurant near the dorm.

We went inside and seat at one of their tables, P'Pha ordered for the both of us. When the food arrived I quickly started eating because I was straving.

After we finished eating our food. P'Pha asked me "so are you excited for the gala later?"

I replied "I'm excited because also quite nervous that I might make a mistake but I know that I can count on you to help me if I make a mistake"

He smiled at me and said "of course, I will always be here for you. So don't be scared because I'm here"

I'm really happy that P'Pha is my partner. I wouldn't know what to do if it was someone else.

We just talked about a lot of different things. To get to know each other more.

Then he asked me a question "yo I was wondering if you would allow me to dance with me later after our performance"

I quickly replied "I would love to P'Pha"

He then took something from his pocket. He then gave me and rose pin.

He smiled and said "Thank you that you're going to allow me to dance with you and since you said yes, can you please wear this pin"

I took the pin from him and said "okay I wear this pin"

After that P'Pha took me to class. Nothing really happened during class, after my classes, Ming picked me up because he is going to help me get ready for the gala.

We went back to my dorm. I already have the outfit that I'm going to wear but I still need Ming's help to get ready.

The theme of this year's gala is going to be black and gold. The kings all have to wear black tuxedo while the queens all have to wear gold gowns but since I'm a boy I would be wearing gold tuxedo instead.

I went and took a shower to get freshen up for the gala. Ming went back to his dorm to get himself ready and then he is going to come back to help me get ready.

After I finished taking a bath, I waited for Ming to come back so that he could help me.

After an hour, he finally returned all dress up and ready for the gala. He is waiting an all black tuxedo. He quickly helped me get ready.

I wear a gold tux with black slacks. I think I look quite handsome but Ming keeps on teasing me that I look beautiful not handsome. I then put on the rose pin that P'Pha gave me to wear.

We went to ming's car but it suddenly wouldn't start I wonder what happened why it wouldn't start. We tried to call a repairman but he couldn't come because he was busy with something. What are we going to do.... how can we go to the gala if ming's car won't work. We were just going to call a cab when I saw P'Kongpob and P'Arthit.

We went to them and greeted them. P'Kongpob greeted me "Hello nong yo and nong Ming, why aren't you going to the gala yet? Is there anything wrong?"

I then replied "well we were on our way to the gala but ming's car suddenly won't start so we tried to call a repairman but he couldn't come so we were about to just call a cab"

P'Arthit then said "oh that's too bad but you can come with us since we are also on our way to the gala"

We thanked P'Arthit and P'Kongpob and then we went to arrive in their car.

While in the car, we were just talking about what's going to happen later at the gala then P'Arthit said "I saw that somebody already asked you to be their partner"

I replied "yup P'Pha asked me to dance with him but how did you know P'Arthit that someone already asked me?"

He smiled and said "it's because I saw that you are wearing a rose pin on your tux and if somebody asked someone to dance with them in the gala they have to give them a rose pin to show that you are already taken. Kong asked me when he was a first year student, he asked me after the performance"

P'Kongpob said "it's a good thing that I asked him immediately because there were a lot of people hoping to ask him to be there partner"

Ming said "I'm also going to try to ask P'Kit to be my partner. I hope that he will said yes"

I replied "I'm pretty sure that he would say yes, I will be rooting for you"

He smiled and said "thanks yo, I really hope that he will say yes"

Then after a while, we arrived on the venue of the gala. I hope that everything would be fine later that nothing bad will happen.
