Onward and Upward

Sams POV

We've been dating for about a month now and our fans don't know we're together. Colby was the sweetest when he asked me out. It was so magical and perfect I couldn't have asked for anything better.

Flashback to a week ago

I was resting on the couch with my phone as I smiled at all of the edits that were popping up from some of the Suicide Bridge video and everyone was making cute comments and speculations. I laughed lightly as I was looking through them, and Colby cane down the stairs with a small grin on his face. I turned my phone off and I looked at him curiously as my eyes sparkled.

" Come on I have a surprise for you" He said as he walked over to me and he reached out his hand to me with a glint in his eyes. I took his hand as I looked at him with an eager smile and I stood up. He walked me out to the car and sat me down in the car and blindfolded me. Once he climbed into the drivers side he laced his fingers with mine and started to drive. I'm not sure how long he drove for but he pulled me out of the car after what seemed like a 30 minute drive. He pulled my blindfold off when we reached the edge of the forest.

"I think it's safer if you walk through here being able to see" he said with a crooked smile as he laced my fingers with his and started to lead me through the woods. I followed him as I looked around, it was absolutely beautiful in here. There were blue jays and humming birds flying close by our heads and the flowers were roses and daisies and tulips all brilliant color of reds oranges yellows and blues. I was in complete awe as we walked and we soon reached an area of bushes that looked as though they had been moved multiple times during their life span. Colby stood in front of me and held both of my hands as he looked at me.

"What I'm about to show you is my place of escape. I've come here since I was twelve to clear my head and let my problems fade away so I wouldn't do something stupid. All because of you, so now you get to see it too." He slowly pulled me through the bushes and my jaw dropped to the floor. It was at the edge of a cliff that was surrounded by beautiful flowers and the occasional bunny or squirrel farted through the open space. The cliff overlooked a beautiful river that was fed into by a sparkling waterfall to our left. You could see the river start to snake through the forest below, and if you looked far enough you could just barely see the glint of the lake that the river fed into. I sat in the middle of the clearing and looked around slowly, my eyes sparkling.

"This is incredible" I breathed as I looked around. Colby sat next to me and smiled wrapping his arms around me.

"Good. There's a reason I brought you out here you know?" He spoke softly as he looked at me and held me in his lap so that I was facing him. I tilted my head to the side curiously as my eyes reflected the water that was drifting out of the waterfall. He smiled and cupped my face in his head as he looked at me.

"Both of us have been through a lot, from high school to moving to starting our own YouTube channel to the encounters we have when we are with Elton" he smiled at me as I laughed softly. "And you've been by my side for so long. I know how I felt about you for a long time, but I didn't want to lose you or scare you away. Once I learned how you felt about me I had to make this perfect, you deserve to be around a place as beautiful as you are, and I want to ask you, will you be my boyfriend?" I was absolutely floored and I blushed and smiled wide. I sat there and stared at him for a few minutes and he started to get nervous. I giggled softly and kissed him hard on the mouth taking him by surprise. I pulled away a little and smiled.

"Yes, it would mean the world to me to be your boyfriend" he sighed and hugged me close laughing softly in my ear.

"Don't ever do that again, you scared me so bad I thought you were going to reject me hard." He whispered softly as I buried my face in his shoulder as I giggled softly.

"No I could never reject you" I mumbled into his shoulder before pulling away and kissed him softly. "Thank you Colby. This is so amazing"

"I'd do anything for you" he breathed resting his head against mine with a smile.

BACK TO THE PRESENT

I sighed as as I was laying on the couch as I smiled. I sat up and was shot out of my thoughts when Colby came skipping down the stairs with something behind his back.

"I have something for you Sammy" he says happily as he plops in the couch next to me with a smile. I sit up and listen ok at him with bright eyes.

"Really? What is it and why?" I asked.

"It's because your my boyfriend now and I got this for you." He handed me a black box with a big smile on his face. I looked at the box curiously as I opened it and I gasped. It was a dog tag that read onward and upward. I smiled brightly at him and I picked it up and I felt something on the back. I flipped it over and covered my mouth. It read 'my sammy forever and always.'

"Awww Colbear" I sighed as I looked at him with bright eyes and I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him sweetly. He smiled happy and kissed me back and took the necklace out of my hands and placed the tag around my neck with a smile. This was the moment I knew when I truly had found the boy of my dreams.
