Corey's Adventures in Babysitting

Sams POV

I picked Colby up and carried him over to the couch and sat there, with him curled up in my lap. He purred happily and would rub his head against my chest as he was curled up in a small ball in my lap making me smile. As I sat there petting his head and playing with his hair I started to slip on instinct and even though I was trying to hide it Colby could tell.

"Wet me twake care of woo" he said softly as he lifted his head. I shook mine no but I could already see him slipping out of headspace and I hugged feeling sad. It was my fault he was slipping out and I just wanted him to be happy. Corey must have realized the problem because he texted someone and then seconds later I was in his arms and he smiled.

"I have an idea, what if I babysit both of you today? So you can both be in headspace?" Colby looked up at him curiously and smiled.

"You would really do that?"

"Of course I would. Both of you deserve to be in headspace." Colby blushed and smiled as he looked at me and I was clapping.

"ya ya ya ya ya ya ya. Please please please please please" So Colby nodded and purred again as he curled up in a ball on the couch and I squealed. Corey smiled and set me on the carpet before walking upstairs while Devyn sat down next to me and we started to plat patty cake while Colby watched us with lazy eyes and a soft smile. Corey came back a few seconds later and picked me up as he smiled and I giggled.

"How about we put you into a new onesie huh?" I nodded and squealed and he kissed the top of my head as he carried me upstairs and Colby lept off the couch and followed us up the stairs. Corey set me on the changing table and Colby say next to the table as he watched me and Corey. I sat there swinging my legs and Colby hopped over to my crib and put my bunny in his mouth and brought it back to me and dropped it on my lap. I smiled and pet his head as I held my bunny and Corey came over to me with a onesie with space ships all over them. I giggled and Colby watched us as he sat there next to the changing table while Corey set the onesie on the changing table and knelt in front of Colby "do I have permission to change Sam?" Colby smiled and nodded as he rested on his stomach with his chin on his arms. Corey stood up and smiled after gently petting his head and switched out the onesies before picking me up causing me to giggle. "How does a snack sound?"

"Ya! Snack snack snack" I said giggling as I clapped happily. Corey laughed and he carried me downstairs and Colby smiled at me before closing his eyes and staying curled up in a ball. I watched him with soft eyes until he was out of sight then I stuck my thumb in my mouth and turned to see Devyn sitting at the kitchen table. Corey set me in the other chair as I wiggled with a smile and watched him. He walked to the cupboard and grabbed the box of goldfish and two snack bowls. He poured goldfish into each of the bowls and handed them to Devyn and I.

"Tank woo" We said in unison before we started to munch on goldfish and we talked about Devyn's fairy kingdom and how she needed me to help her protect it.

"Kitten are you hungry?" Corey called as he shook a bag of small cookies. Within seconds Colby was down the stairs and sitting in front of Corey with the biggest grin on his face. "That's what I thought" He said laughing lightly as he poured the cookies into the bowl on the floor and Colby sat there watching him pour the food. When he was done he turned and was surprised to see Colby sitting there then he smiled as he walked back over to him and pet his head. "Go ahead kitten." Colby purred and instantly started eating as Corey walked back over to us and kissed the top of Devyns head.

"Cans he bes owours pwotective wion?" I asked Devyn as I looked at Colby and she giggled and clapped.

"Yesss! I would wove dat!" She squealed and Colby looked up with a smile. He quickly finished his snack and ran over to them and rested his chin on my lap. I giggled and pet his head as he purred happily and closed his eyes. I smiled and continued to pet him as I smiled.

"Such a cwute kitty" I cooed as I kissed his head and smiled. He nuzzled my leg and I hopped up off the chair and sat on the floor with him as I giggled. Colby licked my cheek as he smiled and climbed into my lap and stayed close you me. I closed my eyes and smiled as I ran my fingers through his hair slowly and Devyn hopped up and started running to her fortress. I picked Colby up and followed her to the fortress. We all crawled inside and Colby instantly curled up on a pillow as Devyn and I giggled as we started to color and talk about random things. Like fairies and unicorns and our paci collections while Colby was lightly swatting at my stuffed rabbit. Corey was sitting outside the fort and watching us while he took pictures and videos as he smiled watching how precious we were. This was perfect
