The Raid

Sam's POV

I smiled and I followed Trent down to the first floor as I smiled and held Colby's hand. I could tell he was super nervous, but he had to understand that this was my entire life when I was younger, this was how I survived and escaped the stress. Hopefully after tonight he'll see it's okay, so i don't have to start sneaking around him. We got to this massive metal door and Trent entered a code before pushing it open, and I smirked when I saw all of the combat equipment that lined the wall. And at the very back, in a case on the wall, was my jacket. I smirked and walked right to it, which made Trent laugh as i unlocked the case and took it out.

"I thought no one was allowed to touch the jacket." Colby said as he looked between the two of us confused. I smiled as I slipped it on.

"Yeah that's because it's MY jacket. No one else was allowed to wear it but me." I sighed once it was on and I grabbed my usual weapons, a knife, two pistols, a few mini grenades, my mask and of course my staff. I smiled as I spun it and pressed a button, and it shrank to a little pen. Colby watched me surprised and I walked over to him as I kissed his cheek as I ran my fingers through his hair. "Do you feel a little more confident about the trip today?" I asked as I looked at him and he laughed a little but nodded as he grabbed a gold handled gun that had something engraved on it and a knife with a black crystal handle that had a dark red heart on the butt of it.

"Yeah actually. I do" he said as caressed my cheek with a smile.

"Good" I said smiling as the two of us follows Trent out of the Vault and he closed it behind him.

"Alright let's go meet the others" he said as he smiled and walked toward the loading doors. I held Colbys hand as I smiled and we followed Trent to the doors where a group of guys were waiting by a truck and a van. "Listen up" Trent called and everyone froze and looked at Trent. "Dark Knife has a new friend joining us. You all remember hearing about shadow." They all looked at me and realization struck them. They knew exactly who I was. "So they're both coming on this op with me. And if any of you get in their way you'll be dead and none of us will be sorry. Understand?" They all nodded once "good now let's go" I instantly walked with Trent to the van and Colby followed looking surprised.

"When was the last time you were on an op?" I asked and he looked at me

"When I was a rookie." Colby admitted and I smiled

"Well you're not a rookie anymore" I said as I got in the car with him and Trent was sitting in the passenger seat as he smiled. I looked over at Colby and he smiled at me as he kissed my cheek.

"Why do I feel like you know more than I do?"

"Because I do." I said laughing. "But you'll learn as time goes on. Especially since you're with me now." Then the car started to follow the truck and that's when Trent turned and looked at me

"Alright Colby already knows most of this, but the attacks are always halfway through the route. Their made up of about 7 or 8 guys and they do it fast. So we have to be ready."

"Good thing I'm faster" I said and Trent smirked

"That's very true." He said as he laughed and we followed the truck and it didn't take long for us to get to the trees. And I knew that's where they were. I nodded and Trent and winked at Colby before rolling down the window and crawling onto the roof of the car. I rolled my shoulders and smirked as my hood covered my blond hair as I looked around. As I stood up I reached out for my staff and balanced on the roof of the Jeep scanning the trees. And that's when I saw them. All 8 of them dropped on the roof of the truck almost silently. I smirked and jumped onto the roof of the truck with them and looked up at them with a wicked smirk.

"Well well well what's going on here boys?" I asked and they froze before reaching for their weapons. I smirked and grabbed my staff and spun it before it broke into two small swords as I smirked and ran to them, slashing at them and three of the eight were hurt and fell off the side. Five more looked back at me and reached for guns as they backed up, which made me laugh as I jumped into the trees and started running from branch to branch, finding snipers and shooting them down. Then I dropped down behind them and cracked my staff against them like it was a bat and sent them flying with sparks. Some crashes over the sides but two were left as the truck comes to a stop. I glance over the side and see a deer standing in the road so I shoot it with a taser dart which sent the plastic thing flying as it explodes. I smirk and slowly turn to the others. "Now. Are we gonna do this the nice way or the hard way?" They looked at me and started to stand up so I shot them both in the chest and they fell back as the truck kept moving. That's what tipped me off and I ran to the end and swung down to the bottom and opened the back just enough for me to slip inside before closing it again. I looked around in the dark through my night vision in my hood. The guards were all asleep, but not by choice, so I slowly crept to the open door to the drivers seat. The original driver was passed out in the passenger seat and there was a location on the GPS. I smirked and screwed off the top of my staff and pulled out the needle as I walked over to him and smiled as I was waiting for Colby to hack the GPS. Then the red snake appeared on the screen and I smirked injecting the driver with the sleep drug and he was out in seconds as I slowed the truck to a stop.

"Goodnight mole" I whispered as I pulled it out and put it back in the staff and walked out of the back, to be greeted by Trent and Colby.

"There he is. Good to have you back Shadow." Trent said as Colby helped me down.

"Easy. The mole is in the drivers seat. Passed out of course" I said as I leaned into Colby with a smile. "You have the points from the GPS right,"

"Yep." He said as he kissed my head. "You're allowed to work with me now"

"Good" I said giggling "now let's get these losers back to HQ"
