Whenever I eat,
I can't help but think of you.
At that point, I feel beat.
My stomach, tied in knots
I lose my appetite.
I lose my sanity.
They ask if I'm okay,
I tell them yes, just full.
Full on your smile,
Full on your eyes,
Full on the scent you have,
Full on your strength,
Your intelligence,
Leadership,
Everything.
I can't catch a break,
But I don't mind.
If I cannot eat due to the butterflies you put in my stomach,
Then so be it.
If I mustn't eat to keep you in my mind,
In my heart,
I'll deal with it.
You may not know about it all,
And that's just fine.
It's better you don't,
So then you won't worry.
No, I cannot eat much,
But it's worth it to have you.
