I'm in the water
I dunk my head under
Holding my breathe
I feel a sting
In the back of my head
It lingers and lingers
I gasp for air
But instead of being greeted
With lovely oxygen
My lungs are greeted by
The swarm of water
My nostrils engulfed
I feel like I'm on fire
Contrary to the water
I open my eyes
To look for someone
Nobody is there
My eyes now burn
I can't stop it
Everything begins to blur
I stop squirming
I accept the water
And the burning sensation
It releases me
I fall to the ground.
