I'm sorry I made you cry that day
It wasn't your fault
I was in a bad mood
I needed space
You tried to comfort me
But I pushed you away
Only a smile
That's all you wanted
But I gave you anger
And you gave me tears
Drip, drip, drip
They fell so quietly
Through it all, you smiled
Said goodbye
And then you leftI'm sorry I made you cry that day
But I didn't want it
I did not want you to be present
I didn't want advice
I blatantly ignored you,
Told you I didn't need you
And you cried
Oh, how you cried
Ever so sweetly
Quietly
Like a whisper
And soon, you were gone.
