Kid and Alice had been walking for hours now, and Alice was quiet obviously ignoring him as she was walking almost a block ahead. Kid was trailing behind, seeming to be lost in this thoughts, and every now and then he would look up at Alice.
She could feel his stares against her back, but paid no attention to them, she was mad, and intended to stay mad.
He had been trying to catch up, but if he would call out to her she'd just brush him off. She knew this wasn't a smart idea, because she had no clue where she was and if she ended up alone she would probably be in more danger.
So she slowed her pace, and allowed him to catch up a bit, still obviously ignoring him.
It was growing darker now, and the sky was illuminating brilliant colors of blues, purples, and pinks.
Kid was right beside her now, walking silently, but looking at her face every so often. He wanted to say something, she knew this but still gave him no chance.
"Alice." He said, after a long while, yet she still paid no attention to him. He sighed, and was quiet for a few more moments.
"Alice, listen to me." Kid said again. She still paid no attention to him, and at this point he had had enough. He grabbed her arm and swung her around to face him. He was startled at first, he had no idea she was this beautiful. The warm colors of the sky were shining onto her face, and making her look kind and gentle. This wasn't what he planned, but Kid pulled her closer to him so that they were inches away from each others faces, eye to eye, their breathing drifting off onto the skin of the other. Alice still said no words, but her whole body seemed to relax and melt in his arms.
He cupped her warm face in his hands, and it spread over his body which had been turned cold due to upcoming night bringing the temperature down.

Leaning in closer he kissed her, and it was like the entire world had melted away from the both of them. They were at peace, they were together. The weather seemed to get warmer, and the breeze seemed to face away, hitting everything except them. And then she pulled away, and it all stopped. A lingering feeling of warmth on his fingertips, as he released his hold on her.

They stayed like that for a while, just taking in that moment, the only calm moment there had been with them.
"I'm sorry." Kid murmured into her ear as he brushed away her silky hair.
Alice shook her head, and smiled. He took her hand, and acting as if nothing had happened they both continued to walk again. This time with no tension or distance between them.
