I was wandering the streets at 7 p.m. I didn't know what I was thinking, going around this late. Well, it's not THAT late, but I wouldn't do this most of the time. I would probably be in my not-so-tidy room, surfing the website for anything random, eat dinner, then maybe go to bed. Yes, I could sleep at 8 p.m because I just am that average girl. I don't look special, my eyes are black, my mid-length hair is so straight and black, my skin is so pale I could match to Sadako. Not likely, I have a better smile.
Anyway, I didn't even know how I managed myself to get off of my bed and just utilize my feet on this breezy autumn night. I hoped something eventful would happen, otherwise this wouldn't be such a wise decision to make.
The cold air brushed past my face and I shuddered, I quickly got into a supermarket nearby and heated myself up a little bit. I got myself a piece of triangular onigiri and ate it up within 3 minutes. I sighed and thought to myself.
"Was life always this boring?"
I got up and walked to the sandwich bar and fixed myself a salmon mayonnaise sandwich.
I walked and walked and walked, and when I realized, I wasn't in the neighborhood anymore. I stood on the intersection of a festivity, with the bass and music booming through the building. I thought, what the heck, I'll just check it out. Maybe I could find some inspo for my music.
I crossed the unfamiliar street, only to find about thousands of girls screaming their lungs out. I was so curious as to what they're gasping and yelling about. I looked around to observe the girls, they looked pretty with their makeup and high sense of fashion. They looked stunning on their heels and accessories. I felt self-consciousness creeping under my skin, while I glanced at my outfit. A pair of over-worn jeans, a striped long-tee overlaid with army-green coat and sandals. Why would I even wear sandals going out on an autumn night? Then again, these girls could really stand the cold in those miniskirts.
I felt the camera lights flashing in front of my eyes, as I was caught inside the waves of the raging fans. I was pushed around by those girls, and I put up a fight. I wanted to see what or who was the girls so eager to see. So, I pushed back. I slammed myself into the crowd, I was deafened by their roaring chant and I felt something weird. My head started to spin, my legs felt wobbly, I couldn't breathe, like the oxygen was sucked out of me. I lost my balance and I fell. I caught myself on the pavement, surrounded by enraged fangirls, so desperate for a grasp of what's underneath the building.
I tried to stand up, to regain my breath, but I felt dizzy, like I couldn't even move. My plastic bag was nowhere to be found, lost in the stampede of the crowd. Great, that was my last 12,000 won wasted.
I held my hand up, I tried asking for help.
"Please, can somebody help me out?", I pleaded. Nobody heard me.I thought I was going to faint, until I heard a sound.
"Here, let me help you".
A very soft voice that it made my skin crawl, behind my ears. I turned my head back to see whose it was. I was enchanted by a figure in a black baseball cap, his head was tilting down, like he couldn't bear to look at me. He held out his hand to me, and I picked it up. He pulled me up and I finally could regain my consciousness.
Suddenly, he grabbed my arm and took me away. We both ran, away from the crowd, my head was still spinning with questions.
"Who is this man and what does he want with me?"
I started to panic, I tried yanking my hand out of his but I couldn't. His grip was so strong, I had to comply. We ran into an alley, which was around the building. The alley felt mysterious, it was dark and cold.
I couldn't muster up a word, my legs are shaking.
"What is this man trying to do!!", I yelled in my head.
He walked closer to me, his demeanor was stark and unfamiliar. Even though the alley was dark, I could feel his gaze.
"Hey, p.p..please..., don't do this...", I held my hand forward to defend myself, not knowing what this random guy might do to me. I couldn't find myself to scream or get help, so I just stood there, aimlessly.
"Hey.", he finally said. It was weird listening to his voice, it didn't feel malicious at all, but it sounded heavy, like he had a lot in his mind.
"What are you doing?", he asked.
I opened my eyes slowly, as I was so taken aback. He finally took of his hat and raised his face for me to gaze. Somehow, even though it was dark, I could see his face. It was a well figure, his eyes, nose and lips were carefully carved by God, and he looks...good.
I lowered my hands slowly and regained my posture. I fixed my messy hair and took a good look at him. He looked at me with curiosity.
"I...thought you were going to do nasty things... I'm sorry.", I apologized.
"It's alright. And what do you mean by nasty things? I just saved your life from being stomped to mash.", he chuckled.
"Oh..yes, thank you for that.", I bowed to him.
He didn't say anything and we just stood there. A few uncomfortable seconds passed and he finally said something.
"So, what were you doing back there?"
"Oh, me? I was just joining them because I was curious as to what is it that they're so hyped about. I've never seen such reaction towards something inside a building before."
"What? You don't know WHO is inside that building?", his tone was so sharp, as if he just spoke to the idiot of the century.
"Uh, no... I was curious, that's why I went inside the hurricane, which I am never going to do again."
He laughed and he shook his head.
"Hey, what's so funny?", I couldn't believe this guy. We just talked for a few minutes and he judged me for my ignorance? Wow, people nowadays.
"I'm sorry, but I don't think you realize how many girls would kill to walk in your shoes right now."
I looked at my dirty-sandals and back at him.
"What's so envious about my footwear?", I asked sarcastically. He gave me a half, cold smile.
"Because I am a member of EXO."
