I fell asleep a few minutes after they left the room. I was mentally exhausted. I could feel I was sleeping anxiously. I wasn't dreaming at all. It felt like my subconscious wouldn't let me drift off.

It felt as if I was awake, but at the same time, I wasn't. My eyes were wide open but I knew I was still sleeping. I could see the ceiling and from the corner of of my eye, I could see a black shadow. It was calling my name slowly.

"Soojin-ah...", it whispered.

I tried moving my head towards the source of that ghastly whisper, but I couldn't. I wriggled my whole body to bring it into motion but I couldn't.

The voice approached me, and as it came closer, I was starting to see its face more clearly now. It had no distinctive nose feature, but its eyes were dark. Its mouth was pitch black and its voice intensified as it approached me. I wanted to shout for help, but at the moment, I was incapable of speech.

I struggled to move as my whole body was paralyzed. I tried to press the emergency button on my bedside to notify the nurse but I couldn't even get a finger into motion. I screamed with all my might.

"HELP!!!!", I was finally able to break free of my mute situation. I sat up from the bed swiftly and I was drenched in sweat. I panted as I looked at the corner for the horrid creature. It was gone.

I was fully awake now.

However, I felt a sudden pang on my right lower limb. It was my injured leg. The pain struck me hard, my muscles were contracting, as if I were having a cramp.

"Ahhh it hurts!", I squinted my eyes.

"Soojin!? What's wrong? Are you hurt?", a voice from the corner of the room startled me. The room was dim and I couldn't see straight. I was still half asleep, still trying to regain my consciousness. I blinked away the sleep from my eyes, and as I started to focus, it was a familiar face.

"S...suho?", I said in between my groans. The cramp was getting worse and I winced. I tried raising my leg but the pain intensified.

"You're having cramps? I'll call the doctor!", he rushed outside and I could hear him panicking at the nurse station. I could hear his muffled cry for help and I couldn't help but smile even thought I was in agony.

I still couldn't feel my leg, and I kept pressing on the muscles to make the pain go away, but it seemed to increase with every effort I exerted.

Eunha came in with Suho.

"Eunha, she's having a cramp, can you do anything?", Suho said to her and my world went silent. I couldn't decipher what Eunha said in return, it was all muffled voices.

Suho...called Eunha to help?

Not the doctor?

Eunha?

I gritted my teeth, the pain on my leg wasn't bothering me anymore. The pain in my heart was more overwhelming. I looked at him with a pained expression but he bared me no glance. His eyes were still on Eunha.

At that moment, I wanted to disappear from the Earth.

I was zoning off from Suho and Eunha's conversation and Doctor Baek finally got into the room.

"I'm here. What happened?", Doctor Baek was panting, the sleep was still on his face.

"Patient Hae Soojin had a cramp on her right limb...", Eunha explained to the doctor and I zoned out again.

Doctor Baek said something to me but I couldn't make up the words so I just nodded. My expression was blank, I kept staring the floor. Doctor Baek started massaging my leg and repositioning it.
