It was around 6 p.m when they finished the rehearsals. I suggested another night in and we should cook our own food.

"Great idea! We kind of miss having you inside the house though.", Xiumin said as he pursed his lips.

"Sure thing! But there's only one problem. We ran out of ingredients.", Sehun raised his hand.

"No worries, I'll go to the local supermarket to do some grocery shopping.", I volunteered. I loved grocery shopping, I could browse the aisles as I wanted and I could buy stuff that I knew I never needed.

"I'm tired~ can some of us sit this one out?", Baekhyun yawned a little.

"Of course! I'll go by myself. In fact, I love shopping on my own.", I stated as I felt bad for some of them. They looked drained and they had dark circles under their eyes.

"Don't any of you want to accompany her?", Chanyeol said as he rubbed his eyes with his hoodie sleeve.

"No, you don't have to! I insist on going by my...", I was interrupted suddenly.

"I'll go.", Kyungsoo said as he moved forward.

"Ya, you spent the entire night yesterday with her already. Don't you miss us?", Kai interjected as he hugged Kyungsoo from the back.

"Well, I need to take care of her...", he said as he smiled sheepishly.

"But you promised to clean the dorm. It was your turn to do housekeeping.", Chen said out of the blue.

"Wait, you clean your own dorms? Didn't you have someone to do that for you?", I said with bewilderment.

"Uhhhh no. We're not that high-maintenance.", Baekhyun stuck his tongue out at me. I was completely shocked at that fact.

"Ah...sorry then, Soojin-ah.", Kyungsoo looked at me guiltily.

"What are you sorry for? It was my intention to go alone from the start.", I hit him playfully on his hand. His expression eased off a bit.

"Suho-hyung, why were you silent? Can you accompany our Soojin?", Sehun said as he nudged Suho who was quite busy with his phone.

"Oh? Ng...sorry but I have to meet someone.", he said while still looking at his phone. He couldn't even meet my eyes when he said those words.

He had to meet someone? Was that someone Eunha? Now that he had officially and completely ditched me, he was free to meet with other girls?

It made me feel like trash.

"I'll get going now, bye!", I said before they could delay me any longer without looking back.

I was afraid they'd see the tears forming in my eyes.

I took the bus to the supermarket and it was crowded as always. The whole shopping experience was miserable. I couldn't stop thinking about what a perfect couple they would make. I couldn't stop thinking he would back out from his words he said during our trip to the amusement park. How he hugged me. How he reached for my hand.

The tears were about to come again but I held them back. I didn't want to draw attention from strangers.

I bought chicken, Korean beef, pork belly, shrimp, cuttlefish and a few assorted meat. I also bought a few vegetables to cleanse the palate. I bought freshly cut fruits as I didn't want to carry the whole fruit back home. I added a few sauces that I never saw inside their kitchen cupboard.

I paid the whole grocery with my new card. It was my first ever expense with my own income. It felt refreshing to be using my own hard-worked money.
