"Because I am a member of EXO."

I blinked. I tried to recall that familiar name. EXO? EXO. I searched my mind for an image, or sound. My eyes squinted when I tried to recollect the memory. Suddenly, a light bulb appeared.

THAT EXO? Biggest Korean boyband on Korean pop music history, which members are born with talents and facial features sculpted directly by God, and the winner of hundreds of music awards over the past 3 years? The information hit me until I lost my ability to produce a sound.

Every now and then, I listen to K-pop, but I don't immerse myself in it though. I personally think it is a fun tune with upbeat tempo and the lyrics sometimes don't make sense, but I could enjoy it. Korean entertainment would train a few girls or boys for a minimum of two years, gather them up into a boyband or girlband and they would debut and become the next big sensation. Of course, we couldn't get enough of the boybands and girlbands. It's not that I dislike them, I just think that entertainment business could think outside the box and come up with a better idea on debuting artists, like a solo singer/songwriter artist, or perhaps a single-instrument player, anything that's new.

Anyhow, I scanned my brain for EXO traces. I remembered listening to their songs and really liking it, it was filled with memorable tunes and they had killer vocals. I guess they are the current boyband who has the visuals plus the talent. They seemed to work really hard on making every comeback a success.

I finally regained my composure and I could say something out loud. "Oh, you are? I'm sorry, I know EXO  but I could not identify you in the dark.", I said with a nervous chuckle.

He reached for something in his pocket, which seemed like a phone and he shone the light across his face, providing enough light for me to see my surroundings.

He had a beautiful face, unlike most men's. His eyes were round, he had thick black eyebrows, his lips were shaped like a heart and they form a slight upward curve.

I glanced at his face and recognize him right away.

"You're D.O. right?!", I knew this because he had one of the most spellbinding vocals in EXO and I admired his underrated skills.

"Yes, I am D.O.", he said with a smirk.

"Wait, if you're a celebrity, why are you out here, dragging me into darkness, while you should be inside the building entertaining?", I ask with wonder. It was weird to see only one member of the group to be outside, while dressed in a suspicious fashion.

"Ah, you see. It was almost over, and we all had to pack up our instruments and utilities, so I had to reach our van to grab something. However, I didn't know the entrance would be that much crowded, so I tried blending in while making my way out of the building, and I saw you sitting on the ground and you seemed pale, so I thought maybe you weren't feeling well. Aaaand the reason I brought you here is no one would recognize me here(?)", he left that tone hanging after finishing his explanation. I nodded awkwardly in response.

Then I realized I wasn't holding my sandwich anymore. Ah, it must be mashed into pieces right now.

"Ah my sandwich...", I whispered.

"What? Your sandwich?", he repeated.

"Ah...yes, it fell on the pavement."

"On behalf of the EXO-Ls, I apologize.", he took a 90-degree bow.

"No, no, don't apologize, it's fine.", I shook both of my hands towards his modesty. I checked my phone and the time showed 9 p.m.

"Oh my, it's 9 p.m already.. I should probably get back.", I walked away from him into the streets. I turned my head from side to side, trying to identify my whereabouts. I checked my phone for a GPS and realized that I didn't download it. Most of the days I was home, so I never needed a GPS app. How I fully regret not getting that app.
