A/N: This chapter diplays some behavior that I would not reccommend to most people. Be reminded the drinking age in Ireland is 18.

Katie's POV

I looked in the mirror one last time before going downstairs.I had on skinny jeans and a layered purple tank top. My hair fell in loose curls at the bottom and I only had subtle makeup on.

My mom was having a party, just to have everyone over. She invited a lot of friends, and usually I made an appearance and then disappeared to the basement to watch a football game.

I walked downstairs, and everyone was here. My mom saw me and immediately came over to the bottom of the steps to meet me.

"Katie? Can you do me a favor?"

"What?" I groaned.

"Dad's good friend from down the street has his son in town. He's a little bit older, but I think you'll get along fine."

"Mom! I want to watch the football game! And if he's in town, why is he coming to our party?"

"His dad wants him to see some people over here, and he said that his son didn't really want to go out tonight, He can watch the game with you."

"But-"

"I'll let you two have a beer." I sighed and agreed. I made my rounds around the room, saying hi to everyone and offering snacks and drinks. finally, my mom dismissed me to the basement.

I came to the furnished basement that I had redecorated myself. It was supposed to be for my brothers and I, but they were both out of the house most of the time. Colin was 23, and Patrick was 19. Patrick was in college and Colin lived in Dublin.

There was a huge black leather sectional and a neon blue rug with a wooden coffee table in the middle. It had wooden floors, a plasma screen, speakers, and a stocked refrigerator. It was a party basement, but it was mainly my hangout area. I came and did work down here, watched television, listened to music, and ran on the treadmill in the back room.

I plopped down on the couch and turned on the game.Limerick was playing Cork. I was rooting for Limerick, only because my uncle works for the team. I was really hoping they won tonight. I was catching the fnal two minutes of the game, and they were tied. I watched as they were about to engage in another play, and Limerick had the ball.

"Go. Go. Go." I whispered. I heard foot steps.

"Katie, he's here!" My mom called.

"Okay, send him down!"

"Could you greet him please?"

"Yea, after Limerick wins!" I shouted back.

"Sorry, sweetheart, it's hard to tear her apart from the end of a football game. Just go down." She said to the boy. There were more footsteps, and I heard the boy come into the room.

"Hi, i'm---"

"Shh! I'll talk to you in a minute.Just take a seat." I waved behind me, and I felt the weight of the couch shift as he took a seat. I focused back on the television, and Limerick scored.

"WOOHOOO! YES! JUST KEEP IT THERE BOYS!" I said. They set up another play, and Cork had the ball. They did some fancy footwork, but soon Limerick had the ball, and they were making their way down the field, completing perfect crosses and back passes. They were at the goal and made a perfect cross into the left side of the goal right before the final whistle rang.

"YES! THEY WON! WOO!" I got up and went to the refrigerator, not turning to look at the boy. "Let's turn on some music." I said and put on my One Direction album. I scrolled through the songs and fell on One Thing. I listened to part of the first verse, and then during the chorus, the boy started talking.
