I was so excited for the evening that I  went home dancing and singing. My mom asked me "Honey you look excited. Tell me, how did your first day went?"
"It was like a black spot on a white paper. I mean it was all good, just that some girls tried to bully me." I replied.

"Oh honey, do you want me to complain." She asked as she brushed her hands through my hairs.
"No mom. I am enough for them." I replied started running towards my room."
"Don't do anything that might harm you." She requested me.
"Will try to." I replied.
I closed the door of my room and I was instantly confused about what to wear.
Every girls' problem. I picked out a thousands of outfits but ended up wearing my high waist jeans and a tank top.
Like seriously.

Thou my mother said that I was showing way too much of my skin.
Actually yes, I was going for just a coffee with not just someone.

So to make it a bit more decent and still manage to look good, I wore a shrug on top of it.
It was already five and I haven't done my hairs.
Lucas, being a punctual guy, rang my doorbell exactly at five o' clock.

I grabbed my hair clip and made a messy bun. Hey! That was all I could do in seconds.

He stood at my hall, talking to my brother, about some stupid topic.

When I came down, my brother gave me an evil grin.
I knew what he was thinking about.
I went and stood next to Lucas, and my brother said "Riles! I didn't knew you are that fast. You know him for two days only and you both are already up to a date."

"Shut up Jake! He is just a friend, you better keep your dirty mind off it. You must concentrate on getting some new friends" I replied back at him.

"I already got a bunch of friends, and tonight I am going to a party. You know what, you ex zero brother, is now a popular guy." He declared happily.

"Whatever. Enjoy!" I said and held Lucas's arm and carried him outside before he could pour in more rubbish stuff.

"You too enjoy. On your first date Riles!" He shouted sarcastically.

We both went out and it was bit cold for summer season. Thank god, I wore this shrug.

We talked about the places nearby and other things in the town, until we reached the cafe.

We went in and took the seat near the window. The place was warm and moist.
Lucas helped me sit and then asked me what I would like to have. I asked for a iced tea and he went for something that I cannot pronounce till today.
What a gentleman!

I was getting hotter at that corner, so I put off my shrug. Now I was regretting this whole shrug thing.

He brought two cups and his eyes just fell upon me. That was the moment when I realised that he has very beautiful hazel eyes.

I never noticed it. Maybe because, I earlier never had courage to look at his eyes. Directly, like this.

Somewhere I knew that his hazel eyes never knew how to say a lie.

He seated himself down and asked me "So, tell my why your brother was saying it as your first date? Don't tell me that, you miss popular city girl never went on a date?"

"Actually, I and my ex- boyfriend.." I said and he looked at me with a surprise. Anyways I continued " planned for a date, but he never showed up. I waited up and he never showed.
Later, I went back home, upset and deeply sad."

"Oh sorry! But can you tell, why didn't that guy not show up?" He asked.
" Um.. Because he was never interested in me. It was just a joke played on me. Actually, the boys in my school had a bet settled, that RJ, yes that is his name, will be able to bring me to a date. Eventually, I was fooled and went there, in that expensive restaurant and was all dolled up. You know what, the next day when I went school, everyone laughed at me and yes, I had no shoulder to cry on." I narrated the whole tale and sipped my coffee.
