Ice And Fire

A paradise for two idiots.

Italy is a beautiful land and honestly this holiday couldn't have been any better.
Rome, the heart, had kept me excited throughout the day. Our first stop was Rome the capital of Italy and I slowly feel myself drifting off to another world.
I knew this nine day vacation will be the best thing in this world and be stored as some of the finest nineties and greatest stories for me to tell.

Our two day stay here was well planned with a guide. She was young and alluring and was about our age, probably slightly older by a year or two. With long caramel hairs flowing down beautifully down her shoulders reaching just her waist and enticing hazel eyes, she had Darren entertained through out our visit.
He even suggested shifting to Italy permanently, when we were having our lunch together. Looks like it was a case of love at sight. The person who never cared to open his books was already listening to whatever that guide was blabbering about the Italian history. Love is a drug after all.

Another reason why Darren wasn't complaining the whole time and Christina was quick to use this time and opportunity and have a little moment with Ray.
It was the most courageous I've seen of her till today.

It was good that Darren was busy because he is so annoying sometimes. Mostly complaining and whining and irked person.

Walking among the ruins of Colosseum, it was an another feeling in itself. Seeing these monuments in picture and in actual is a big difference.
We knew our day one is here is going to be all about lot of traveling and hectic and we were somewhat planned for it, leaving Cass. She was the only person who hated walking too much.

We visited the pantheon next. Lucas was way too much happy about it. He has this unmatched love for museum and history that I could see the smile on his face as the guide told us about each and every detail.
For me, I don't like museums, but right now his smile was all that mattered to me.

Next we visited the Roman forum and spent our evening at Trevor's fountain.

During that time me and Lucas spilt away from others to spend some time together. All of them were busy with snacks and I wasn't much hungry.
Holding hands we encircled the fountain and sat nearby.
"It's so beautiful. Everything. This whole scenery. This whole trip." I said.
"Absolutely. But I have the most beautiful thing in my right hand that equates to my world." he said and looked down at our entwined hands.

I smiled back at him and kissed him coyly and soon Jeremy and Jessica came running to us and informed that we should probably leave and go to our hotel rooms now. I whined back as I wanted to stay a little longer but no, it wasn't possible.

I was sharing room with just Jessica. It couldn't have been any better.
With our dinner done and refreshed, me and Jess sat on the bed in her matching shirts and oversized shirt, talking about our day and lives(that we already know).

I asked what she and Jeremy are planning on to for future. Her reply was somewhat unsure. She nodded, looked around, then smiled and and spoke in a hurried tone. Even though she was having a good time with Jeremy but she wasn't very sure about what should happen.

It was already one am when we heard a light knock on our door. We looked at each other and she picked up her pillow above her head.
Slowly we tiptoed to the door and she called out "Who is there."
"The boyfriends to the girls." both said together and let out a chuckle.

I opened the door a little, and peeked out and it was them actually.

We let them come inside and they jumped on to our beds.
"So? " I asked both of them as I sat beside Lucas and he held me firmly by my waist.
"We thought of playing truth and dare game. It will be fun at this time I guess. We couldn't sleep basically. I was missing you. " Jeremy replied hugging Jess and she pushed away his face and stared at him.

Lucas began with the game.
We took chances and first it was mine "Truth" I said out loud.  
"Will you leave Lucas for someone more richer and handsome? Maybe someone like me? " Jeremy asked with his full confidence and Jessica's attention on him.

Without wasting a second I said "Well when I have the most precious thing to me why would I think of going for someone else? And you! Sorry.  Jess poor one." I replied and called out to Jessica in a sympathize funny way..
I could feel Lucas head leaning onto mine.
"Says they girl who is about to take a break with the 'precious'."Jess called back at me.
Why did she had to bring this up now? 
Just after saying it I could see she regretted it. She looked at me apologetically and I smiled confirming it's okay. That how's best friends talk. Okay?
Without wasting a second Jeremy said "Okay Jess it's your turn now!" he kept on saying "Tell us, will you marry me?"

Suddenly as this question left his mouth, she turned her neck in an instant and I could actually hear her bones crack.
Me and Lucas were shocked as well. Lucas held my hand tightly waiting for a reply.

"Are you even serious. You better stop joking around." Jess said.

"I was just kidding. But one day for sure I'll ask your this particular left hand in marriage. I don't like the right one thou." he said this and started laughing and Jess hit him with a pillow.

We played truth and dare till three in the morning till I decided it was time to sleep. We sent the boys back to their rooms and slept.

Next day we visited the Spanish steps and the baths of caracalia and later the went to the catacombs of St Callixtus.

Honestly it was a little terrifying with thousands of skull heads instead of walls. It was like a horror movie come true. Walking through was eerie and honestly I wouldn't even dare to touch the wall. Not even by mistake.

I didn't separate from Lucas for like a fraction of second. It wasn't dark but slightly dim and thinking that those skulls belonged to actual human and not to biology labs did make me shiver from fear. I told you earlier my little fear of ghosts and horrid things.

Almost clinging to Lucas's left arm I said him "When do we get out of here?"
"Soon riles. It's such a great place. Anyways it reminds of the night when we first saw a horror movie and almost dug your fingers inside my wrist." he said.

"I know it must hurt you when I hold you this tightly." I replied in a apologetic tone as I loosened my grip on his arm.
"I've grown habitual of you clinging like this now. At that time I wasn't much made up of muscles but now I'm. You hardly cause me any pain." he replied as he held me closer.

We were walking at the last of the queue after all of them and there  basically was no one noticing us.

After our late night dinner we were off to Venice. It was hectic schedule I told you.
I've always wanted to visit that place. Next morning, we visited the Grand Canal and some a couple of bridges also.
During the twilight we boarded the boats that took us around the town.
It was beautiful and full of energy.

Our boats were next to each other and I was so excited.
Once or twice, me and Lucas glanced at each other and smiled

Alas, we were only to stay a day here. This is how our day three ended.

And next day we were in Capri among the sun and the sea.
We decided to relax in the Blue Grotto. Honestly with this beautiful blue water and bright sun everything was beautiful and also our pictures. This was instagram perfect photograph place.

We swam in the water and my bathing suit was just right for my worked out body. In reality for the last one month I really worked out so hard so that I could get some good pictures here. That's is self care and good care.

We also did some water activities to amuse ourselves and enjoy even more.

It was really thrilling. By the end of the day I was exhausted and we all sat in my rooms little balcony and admired the view of sea waves crashing towards the shore and the sun setting leaving a rose gold colour behind it.
And in no time the stars were twinkling and we sat there just admiring it.

"It's a paradise for two idiots." Lucas whispered in my ear and I smiled and kissed on his jawline.
