Next morning I woke up and saw Jake sleeping on the mini couch near the window.
"Get out of my couch." I shouted at his ear and he was startled with this sudden sound.
"Yeah I have to leave anyways." he replied waking, stretching out his arms and pulling out of the blanket he was sleeping in.
He said "Why the heck I slept here on the couch! I have a room in his house. Shit man!"
He rubbed this neck. It must be aching from sleeping on the sofa with his neck arched.
I got up and went down and the next thing I heard was my mom shouting and being excited. Yeah I get it, she just met her son after a long time.
The amusing thing about all of this that she has no idea about him being here. Like seriously.
Sometimes I don't even get my mom.
Later, I took a quick shower and texted Jess to get ready.
I drove my car peacefully playing my favorite song. Driving at a good pace and enjoying.
Today is going to be busy. So busy.
Tackling Jess along with shopping and getting a new haircut and using my vacuous brain to get any idea about how to end thing right between us and then yes plan everything.
I made it to Jess home and she was already waiting for me outside.
I waved her and she sat inside the car.
Everything was fine until I asked "So you know I've a friend and she got a best friend like I have you.""Okay? So what's up with that?" she asked me.
"The best friend lied my friend about her kiss with their mutual friend. Which happens to be my friends boyfriend's close friend. Now tell if you were there then how would you react to this. Be here honest." I explained her.
I could see her face tensing up and how she was pretending to be cool.
Her hands were unconsciously clenching her dress so tight that she might tear it anytime.
"Hey hey Jess. Tell dude, what would you do?" I asked her "You know I would be really mad Jess if it were you. Really mad." I added with a angry emphasis on the last two words.
She must be already uneasy with this whole thing.
"Speak Jess!" I said in a loud tone.
She looked at me with this 'why did she ask me this' look on her face.
"Umm.. Uhh..umm.." she kept on mumbling.
"Words Jess words!" I spoke again in a loud tone.
"Oh I'm so sorry Riles. I have hidden something from you. I've to let it out now. Please don't be mad. You are my best friend and always will be. You're more like a sister to me now and you know I love you a lot." her guilt started speaking for her now.
I knew this would happen. By this time we reached the mall, I parked my car and it was perfectly quite in the car.
"Why did you kiss Jeremy and didn't even bother to tell me? I know that Jess. I know it all." I said this a got of the car.
Without wasting a second she got out too and followed me.
I was walking really fast. Well I got a reason to be mad at her.
For the first time ever!!!
"Riles I've an explanation for this. Will you even listen to me?" She should while we entered into the clothes section.
