I looked around to find myself back in that disgusting rundown house. I heard a familiar voice that sent chills up and down my spine. A voice I wanted to forget.

"Seraaaa," they said in the creepiest tone. "Where are youuuu?"

Ugh. It was Mr. Miller. He always turned my stomach from the way he would talk to me in a chanting voice. I watched as he walked into the room and saw myself, hiding under the bed. I was seven at the time.

Watching it was like replaying a movie of a part of my life I wanted to forget. As he got closer to me while I was hiding under the bed, I yelled at him. Then he turned to me as I screamed.

"Sera!" I opened my eyes to see Connor with his hands on my arms.

I started babbling incoherently. It took a while for Connor to get me to calm down. I grabbed his tank and buried my head into his chest as I tried to get some control over myself. He held me until I calmed down. I had a feeling, he wouldn't let this go.

*********
I sat at the counter while he poured two cups of coffee for us, "Want to talk about it?"

I glanced at him through my eyelashes, "no not really," I said picking up the cup and taking a sip.

He leaned on the counter, "Sera, I can't help if you don't talk to me."

I looked at him as he looked back at me. There was no way he would let this go and for once I needed to talk about it.

"The foster family, the Miller's were awful people. The father would try to do things to me while the son attempted several times. If it wasn't for Roman, they probably would have succeeded." I looked at him. He didn't have a shocked expression on his face.

"You don't see shocked," I said giving him a look.

"Who? Me? I am way beyond shocked. How dare they," he said emphatically to me.

I rolled my eyes, "Roman told you, didn't he?"

"Yes."

I laid my head on the counter. Ugh. Thanks a lot Roman. I am so going to hurt you.

I felt a hand on the back of my head. I lifted my head and looked at him, "Sera, it's okay. I'm glad someone told me. It doesn't make me think of you any less. You didn't chose to be put into that situation, you were put there," he assured me.

I lifted my head as he caressed my cheek.

"No more hiding things from me," he said to me.

"The same could be said about you," I said giving him a knowing look.

"I have no idea what you're talking about," he shrugged.

"Liar. What were you really doing the other day," I asked him.

"Well, I wasn't stealing animals, if that's what you were getting at," he said simply.

I arched an eyebrow at him.

"Okay fine. I am having Taylor check out the Miller's along with my dead wife," he grumbled.

"What?" I did a double take.

He gave me a look. I promptly face palmed myself. Of course he would have people checked out. Connor wasn't the type of person to take things at face value.

"Sera?"

"Yes," I sighed.

"Are you always this overdramatic?"

I dropped my hands and looked at him incredulously.

"Kidding," he chuckled.

"I swear my boyfriend was something else." I got up and walked out of the kitchen.

He followed, "I love you!"

"Yeah, yeah, I love you too!"

We went back to bed and I laid there trying to get comfortable. As soon as Connor's head hit the pillow, he was asleep, snoring softly. Oh hell no. If I couldn't sleep, neither could he.

I pushed on him but he kept sleeping. Finally I pushed him hard enough that he rolled off the bed.

"Sera!"

I leaned over the bed and looked at him on the floor, "sorry, I couldn't sleep."

"So, you thought you would just push me off of the bed?" He gave me a look. I shrugged as he sighed.

He got up and climbed into bed, giving me a look and rolling his eyes. I smiled sheepishly at him. He looked at me as he narrowed his eyes and pursing his lips.

"I think I have an idea," he said to me.

"What?" I gave him a untrusting look. What did he have planned.

********
I laid on my back as he had me pinned to the bed. This was not what I thought he had in mind. Then he crashed his lips onto mine. He gave me a mind blowing kiss, that left me in a daze.

I felt his hand leave my wrists and snake behind my back, pulling me extremely close to his body as our lips moved together. At that moment I knew so wanted to be with Connor completely.

We quickly made work of our clothes until our bodies were against each other, skin to skin contact. As his lips left mine, he made his way to my neck as he moved between my thighs. Then I felt it. I gasped as he moved slowly inside of me.

There was pain at first then it slowly faded into pleasure. Connor took his time as we moved together. It was a feeling I couldn't describe. I had never been this intimate with anyone before.

The way he touched me, set my body on fire. A feeling I never wanted to end. I had a feeling, it never would.

Once we finished, I laid in his arms as he kissed me all over.

"Aren't you tired," I asked him.

"Nope. I could go all night long," he said in between kisses.

I yawned.

"But it seems someone else is tired," he smirked.

"Just a little," I yawned.

"Get some sleep," he said placing a kiss on my lips. I drifted off to sleep as he pulled me to him. I could get use to this. There was something different about Connor than anyone I ever met.

I just had feeling if he dug into things he shouldn't, he would get a wake up call. Sometimes it's better to leave the past in the past.

Looks like Connor and Sera finally moved to the next level. What will happen when Connor finds out the truth about Clarissa along with the Millers. Plus someone else is tied in with another issue.
