The game

Things between Connor and I seem to settle down a bit. I still made breakfast for him along with other meals but also moved to helping him with his paintings.

We still had our moments but managed to work out our differences. This was going to take time.

Since the weather started to get warm, Connor decided we should take a break from all things of everyday life to go to a baseball game. Now I know the basics of sports and tell the difference but I'm not all into the ins and and outs of the game. I just enjoy going and the whole atmosphere of it all.

We arrived at the ball field and handed our tickets to the person then were ushered to our seats. Good thing because this place was huge. I'm pretty sure you need a map to figure out where everything is. Sort of like Connor's house.

We took our seats as people were finding theirs.

"I love coming to a game," he said with enthusiasm.

"I take it you go to a lot."

"When I'm not tied up with painting, I find it's a nice break."

I couldn't help but smile. He looked like a little kid, all giddy just to be at a baseball game. As the game started, he ordered us a beer and hot dogs. I think I enjoyed the hot dog more than the actual game.

Throughout the game, he would yell when the team gave up a run or made a lousy play. Guys sure do like their sports. He even explained the ins and outs of the game.

It was actually nice to be there with him. Once the game was over with, we headed back to my apartment. I had spending so much time at Connor's I was starting to forget what my apartment looked like.

We also grabbed some take out along the way since I hadn't had time to go grocery shopping.

As we sat there and ate he looked at me, "move in with me."

I almost choked on my food.

"What?"

"Move in with me."

Okay what do you say to that? I set my stuff down and looked at him.

"Sera, you spend more time at my house then you do here. It would be logical for you to move in."

"Connor, I don't think we are quite there yet. I mean we haven't even said I love you to each other or other stuff."

"Like sex?"

I looked at him and gulped.

"Sera, I know and I told you I'm in no rush. You can even have your own room until you're ready to come to mine."

I stared at him. This was a lot to take in.

He reached over and took my hand, "look, I know you are scared and if you want to think about it, you can. I just want you to have the option."

"Okay, I will think about it," I said to him. The truth was I was scared shitless.

I picked up my food and continued to eat trying to process everything I heard. Moving in? This was a big step.

As we ate, some weird noise was coming from the bathroom. Great, that's all I needed. I set my stuff down and got up to check the bathroom out.

As soon as I walked, it happened. The toilet blew up. Well, didn't exactly blow up but water gushed everywhere. Then the bathroom sink and shower went haywire, sending me into shock.

Connor ran to the bathroom and his eyes widened as we watched my bathroom go crazy. He ran over and turned off the water to the sink and toilet then found the shut offs to the tub, turning off the water as well. He got soaked in the process.
