After work on Friday, we left the house and went straight to Roman and Casey's place instead of going back to my apartment. It was just easier that way.

We pulled up in front of their place and made our way up to their apartment. I knocked open the door and Casey whipped it open, yanking is both inside. She was a bit excited.

"Sorry about my excitable girlfriend. She doesn't know when to act casual," Roman said shooting Casey a look who just shrugged.

"It's fine," C said with a smile.

Roman took our coats and hung them up.

"So, C is it?" Casey gave him a look. What is with all these looks?

"Yes."

"You seem to have made quite impression on our darling Seraphina," she grinned.

"What Casey is babbling about is the fact someone is actually getting Sera to venture out more," Roman said shooting Casey a glance.

"I'm glad. Because she is quite intriguing."

I couldn't help but blush at his compliment.

"Well, dinner is about ready. How about every sit and I'll bring it out," Roman said as he turned and walked into the kitchen.

The three of us made our way to the table and took a seat.

"So, C, what do you do for work," Casey asked as Roman placed the salad on the table.

"I'm into the artistic aspects of life. Which by the way you have a lovely gallery," he complimented them.

"Thank you. We try," Roman said returning with sides.

"So, is things serious between you two," she gestured at me and C.

"Casey!" Roman and I both exclaimed.

"What?! I just want my best friend happy. Is there anything wrong with that?"

I placed my face in my hands. Nothing like having someone you're interested in being grilled by your best friend.

"I don't see anything wrong with someone being happy," C said as I looked up at him in awe. "I mean we all deserve happiness, don't we?"

I stared at him as Casey beamed.

He turned and looked at me, "don't you agree Sera?"

I looked at him. That's what I had told him. I didn't know what to say to him at that moment.

Roman brought in the main course and it broke me from my trance.

"Let's eat up everyone," he said. Thank god for that.

We all ate quietly and I felt a hand lay upon my knee, causing me to shift in my seat.

"You okay Sera," Roman asked.

The hand quickly left it's place.

"Um, yeah."

I shot a look at C and he smirked.

After dinner, we sat around and had coffee while we talked.

"So, how's the job going Sera," Roman asked.

"Better." I hadn't told them what happened with the party and everything.

"That's good. Hopefully you're being treated with respect." I knew that tone. Roman was like an over protective brother to me. Always has been.

"I can assure you, Sera is doing an excellent job," C interjected.

"I hope so. Because she is a very hard worker," Roman added.
