Chapter 18 - Reality

Don't remember much from that night except everything was cold and the memories are blurry at best.

I black out on the gym floor, the next time I woke I was in an ambulance with Cameron and Ciara next to me. I was hooked up to all different types of machines, Cam had my hand in his and never took his eyes off me. It all went black again.

Finally, I woke up, I felt groggy but I was awake and alive. I try to move but find that my whole torso is wrapped which made it hard too.

My door opens and Bea walks in,

"OMG EVA YOU'RE AWAKE!"

The nurse and doctor come running in when they hear Bea scream.

"Welcome back to the world Ms.Carson."

I'm still very out of it thanks to the pain meds they were giving me, so I just smile a little.

The next few days everyone came to visit me. Ciara, Matt, Jay, and even our school's principle. He said he felt bad. I was in the hospital for a week before I could go home and Cam didn't come to see me once. I Guess we really were over...

It was Friday and I was being discharged, finally! The doctor wouldn't let me go home unless someone was going to look after me so Bea and Ciara are going to switch days and help me while I recovered.

Logan was in jail and awaiting trial, he was out of my life for good. It sucks it took me getting shot to do it but I'm happy he's gone.

Ciara drove me home and helps me inside, I wasn't allowed to walk up stairs yet so she helped set me up on the couch.

"Ok, are you all comfortable?"

"Yeah I'm good, Thank you so much I don't know what I would do without you."

"Hey, that's what best friends are for when you need us we are here."

I give her a warm smile as I drift to sleep. The hospital had given me some strong meds, They knocked me out pretty quickly.

Ciara's POV

I give Eva her medication and make sure she's asleep before I go shower, When I get out of the shower I hear a knock downstairs.

I go to answer the door and It's Cameron.

"Hey Ciara, can I see Eva?"

"shes asleep Cameron but you can come in, she might wake up."

I show him the living room and he sits next to Eva who is passed out on the couch.

Camerons POV

I held back tears when I saw her. I couldn't visit her when she was in the hospital, I couldn't handle seeing her like that. She almost died in my arms. I almost lost her for good...

I wasn't going to hide anymore. she's home now, she's safe. I wanted to wake her up so bad. I wanted to see her eyes again, I missed her amazing voice and laugh.

I hold her and she opens her eyes.

"C-Cameron?"

"Eva! I'm here, I'm so sorry I wasn't before."

I carefully hug her shes still healing and I didn't want to hurt her. I gently place a kiss on her lips. 

That feeling, her lips, and the way she tasted was something id missed and we're so happy to have back.

Eva's POV

I slowly sit up and explain what was going on. How logan was blackmailing me and how I wanted to protect Cam

" Babe you should have told me"

" I didn't want you to be in any more danger because of me"

I answered a couple more questions then Bea and Ciara left. Cam stayed to take care of me.

- 3 weeks later - 

I Had a follow-up appointment at the hospital and it was all good news. I was finally cleared for physical activity and was all healthy again.

I text Cam telling him the good news.

Baby, I'm all clear and healthy!

                                                      that's amazing!!! Pizza tonight to celebrate?

Definitely see you then!

Later that day Cam comes over with a large cheese pizza and everything is right with the world again.

Once we are done eating we cuddle up on the couch. I want him, I need him. After everything that happened, I realized life is too short and I needed to seize the moment.

----- WARNING STEAMY READING AHEAD-----

I touch my lips to his and place my hand on his chest. Kissing him feels so good and so right, I move on top of him, his arms on my waist and my hands around his neck. His fingers trace my body giving me goosebumps and making me shudder a bit.

Our kiss quickens as I take off his shirt and with one swift move mine is also on the floor. His hands now toying with my bra clasp which then he removes and throws on the floor. His hand moves to my chest and he feels his way around. His touch made me crazy and I wanted more.

 We move as one as we make our way to my room.

We both fall back onto my bed and laugh a little because my bed made this awful sound 

"You are so beautiful"

I put on this big dorky smile

We continued kissing but things went from cute to hot in 5 seconds. I take off his jeans as he slides down my shorts. all that's left between us is underwear.

A thin cloth barrier is all that separates us now.

We kiss even more passionately than ever before, my legs wrapped around him. He hooks his finger around my panties and pulls them off.

I am completely bare, unprotected and vulnerable. my most frail state. I've never felt comfortable in my own body or pretty, But he made me feel beautiful and loved. I could truly trust him.

He kisses me again

" Are you sure you want this?"

"Yes...."

I pull him back into a kiss and at that moment we became one.

Well, it's been a while since I've done anything for this story but I'm back and can't wait to keep writing!
