D'Jay's P.O.V.

"Do you know where my shoe is?" Bella asked.

"I don't know, check under the bed." I said not looking up from my phone. She stood in the front of me and raised my head towards her, causing me to stare at her.

"What's the matter Jay Jay?" She pouted. I only rolled my eyes. I grabbed a pillow and hit her with it.

"Oww, that hurt." she whined, "but seriously, what's the problem babe?" she asked rubbing my cheek. "Are you nervous about tonight?" she said beaming at me.

"What? no girl. I haven't heard from Marco in a few days." I said hanging my head. I continued, "it's just that when something big happens, he usually shows his support...but I haven't gotten a text from him, and my aunt says she hasn't seen him in days." I exasperated.

"Don't hurt your head D'Jay, I'm sure he's just out there doing whatever Marco does." she said rolling her eyes and sat on my me. She started to kiss my neck.

"It's not funny Bell." I said pushing her off of me a little too hard. She fell to the floor. She sat there with her face scrunched up as she bit her lip, holding back her words. 'Herree we go" I thought. "What?" I said looking at her. She sat there quietly. "I know you have something to SAY!" I yelled at her, but she only flinched. It got really quiet. "Look Bell, I didn't mean to ye-" she cuts me off.

"WHAT HAS GOTTEN INTO YOU D'JAY?" She asked furiously with tears pooling in her eyes. "You've been hanging out with Marco and working a lot lately." she said crossing her arms. "You don't even have time for me anymore." she said quietly.

"It's not like that Isabella." I said angrily.

"Kai said that Marco does some bad stuff for money." she said, obviously beating around the bush. She scrunched up her face in anger. "Are you selling drugs with him D'Jay?" she asked with tears streaming down her face.

"What are you crying for Isabella? Ain't like I don't know what I'm doing!" I said irritated.

"Are you serious? It's not even the fact that you're selling! It's the fact that I'm your girlfriend, and you don't even have the balls to tell me that you out there being stupid and doing dumb shit with Marco!" she seethed. "and when something big happens at least I'm there to support you." she said as she packed up her stuff. I didn't stop her from packing.

"You don't understand, I need the extra cash." I argued.

"For what D'Jay?, the money from Layah's dad isn't enough?" she stated and crossed her arms. "You wasn't complaining when I carried you out to dinner or when I bought you that ring!" I yelled, "I don't know why you judging me! Get off my damn dick, Isabella!" I screamed. I pushed pass Bella and went to the bathroom to cool off. I slammed the door shut. 'This girl is really pissing me the fuck off.' I thought to myself. It went quiet in my room, then I heard my room door slam shut. 'Shit.' I thought to myself. I opened the bathroom door to see if she really left. I walked into the room to see that she had really left, and from the corner of my eye I saw a little glint of reflected light. She had left her promise ring on the dresser.

Kyrie's P.O.V.

I turned on my side to look at Layah, she was beautiful. I watched her as she slowly breathed in her sleep. I go to stroke her cheek, but my phone starts to ring in the customized tone that I had. It was letting me know that my dad was calling. I sighed and got up. I grabbed my phone headed into the bathroom to answer it. God knows I don't want to.

"Kai, are you getting too old to check up on your old man?" he said smartly.

"Nah, I still got time fo' you old man." I said equally as smartly.

"Mmm, Bella talks to me on the regular. Even told me that she has this boyfriend." This caused me to raise an eyebrow.

"Did she say his name or anything?" I asked seriously.

"No she didn't say his name. Leave her alone Kyrie, she's and adult now." he argued.

"Mhm, but she's still my baby sister." I said firmly as I rolled my eyes. "anyway pops, I gotta go." I said trying to rush him off of the phone. It's not that I don't like talking to my father, it's just that our relationship isn't the best.

"Mmm, tryna rush me off the phone huh? With yo' big ass head." he said chuckling. I only smirked. "Oh, before I go, Marshall said hello. He wanted to know how you were doing in College." My heart sank and I started to feel queasy as if I was going to throw up.

"Oh? Tell him I'm just hanging in. I'm good. Anyway pops, I gotta go. Kiss momma for me, bye." I hung up the phone not giving him any time to respond. I quickly dropped my phone on to the bathroom counter and slid and fell to the toilet, emptying my stomach into it. The room started to spin and I began to breathe heavily. 'I thought I was done with that piece of shit.' I thought to myself as I continued to vomit.

"Kai?" I heard Layah's voice coming from the bathroom door. "Are you okay, babe?" she asked softly.

"Yeah, yeah, I probably just ate something bad." I lied. "can you run down to the store for some aspirin and Gatorade please?" I asked. I didn't want her to see me in this state.

"Okay....are you gonna be okay enough for D'Jay's thing tonight?" she asked concerned.

I sighed, "Yeah, I should I be good by then, ma." I assured her.

"Okay, I'll be right back." she said. I heard the door open and closed. With that it got deathly quiet and I was alone with my thoughts. I looked in the mirror and was surprised at what was staring back at me. 'Who would've thought huh?' I thought. 'That same little boy who let that sick bastard abuse him became something positive.... but still fights his demons alone.' I continued thinking. Just the sound of his name gave me chills. I swear on my life I'm going to kill that son of a bitch.

-flashback-

"I...I don't want to play the piano...I want to get away from you." I cried with my eyes pinned shut. I was trying to block out his disgusting touch.

"Now Kyrie, that's not nice. You've hurt my feelings." He said leaning closer to my face. "I guess I have to punish you." I knew what exactly came next.
