Layah's POV
I was on the stage looking at the crowd that seemed to be thousands of people deep. 'What the hell?' I thought to myself. The crowd was deadass silent. 'Seriously?' I thought to myself.

"You can start when you're ready." D'Jay said giving me a weak smile.

"Uhmm, goodnight y'all." I said looking at the various faces in the crowd. I looked over to Alana. She smiled at me and gave me a big smiles and two thumbs up. 'Here I go,' I thought to myself. I closed my eyes and began to think about Kyrie. Soon after, the words just flowed from my lips.

==================

"I'm so into you, I could barely breathe." I started. The a-capella sound shifted throughout the gym.

"And all I wanna do, is to fall in deep...

But close ain't close enough 'til we cross the line, hey, yeah

So name a game to play, and I'll roll a dice, hey,

Oh, baby look what you started."

My voice echoed through the gym and I heard Kayla starting to scream.

"The temperature's rising in here

Is this gonna happen?

Been waiting and waiting for you to make a move,

woo, oh, oh, oh

Before I make a move

woo, oh, oh, oh

So, baby, come light me up,

and maybe I'll let you on it

A little bit dangerous, but baby that's how I want it

A little less conversation and a little more 'touch my body'

'Cause I'm so into you, into you

Get everyone watchin' us, so, baby, let's keep it secret

A little bit scandalous, but, baby, don't let them see it...

I was overwhelmed with nerves and adrenaline. The crowd was roaring. They loved it! D'Jay came on stage. "Let's hear it for Layah!" he said, putting his arm around me and smiled. From the corner of my eye, I spotted Kai. I could see Kai getting angry, but I only smiled and bowed to the crowd that was still cheering. As I came off of the stage, Trey was the first to greet me.

"Damn girl, you could really blow." he said as he smiled and hugged me. Kayla was bursting at the seams with smiles and happiness beside him.

"I'm so proud of you baby-girl, you sounded amazeballs!!" she screamed as she scooped me into a tight hug. After Kayla let me go, I turned to Alana who looked at me in amazement.

"What?" I asked smiling with a quirked eyebrow.

"You...you sound like mom, your voice is beautiful." she said genuinely.

"Thanks, but my voice isn't as good as hers." I said, noticing that Kyrie was approaching me.

"Wow, Lay, that was amazing...how come you never told me that you can sing?" he asked, smiling.

I grinned. "You never asked." I tip-toed and placed a soft peck on his cheek.

"Naww, naww. You cant be teasing a nigga like that." He said holding me tightly. He kissed me again, but this time he deepened it. I started to fall even deeply into the kiss...until I heard Trey.

"Ewww, we in publicccc." Trey said, throwing popcorn at us. Kyrie broke this kiss and looked at me. I hid my face and started to blush.

I turned to Trey, "Where did you even get popcorn from?" I asked, still holding on to Kyrie.
