Alana's P.O.V.
I tried calling Marco's cell one last time before I left my place. We were supposed to be going out to lunch, but he left this morning and I haven't heard from him since.
-flashback-
"Daniel!" his mom shouted, "your girlfriend is here...again." she said, clearly annoyed. I scrunched up my face, trying to figure out why she caught an attitude all of a sudden. After for what seemed like forever, he came downstairs, limping slowly and was covered in bruises.
I gasped. "Marco? What happened?!" I said as I rushed over to him, he winced and pulled back a little. That hurt but I shrugged it off.
"Nothing. Didn't I tell you not to come around here?" he said with a cold tone. I shivered at his tone and started to fumble my words.
"I-I-I was worried about you. W-wwe were supposed to go out four days ago...and you never showed. You didn't answer any of my calls or text." I said softly, trying not to stare into his intense gaze. It was giving off this scary feeling so I was really trying my hardest to remain firm.
"Don't come around here anymore Aliyah. I'll come to you. I just had some business to care of, alright?" he said blankly. "Go home, alright?" he said, turning away. I don't know what possessed me but I pulled on his arm to get his attention not realizing my fatal mistake. He screeched in pain and clenched his fists, causing me to jump back in horror.
"Oh my gosh, Marco, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to..baby I'm sorry." I apologized, profoundly looking at the anger on his face. This was the first time I was actually afraid of him. I started to shake and my heart was racing.
He drew a long breath and continued to glare at me.
"Go home Aliyah." he said coldly. He then turned to leave.
"Daniel, Daniel! I'm sorry, don't leave me please. I'm sorry I'll give you your space. I need you. I'm scared to be by myself." I started to cry, but he continued to walk up the stairs.
-End of flashback-
I was trying to be cool and not seem so clingy after what happened between us...on a few occasions, may I add. I blushed at the thought.
He was my first love, my best friend, my rider; my everything. I'm kind of regretting not trying to work things out between us earlier. I know he said he only left me for my own good, but I still have a feeling that there was something he wasn't telling me.
I shook my head to erase the thoughts as I grabbed my purse. I had a nagging feeling in my stomach, it's annoying me. I decided to distract it, and go check up on my parents.
Not too long after leaving my apartment, I got a call from my landlord.
"Hello, Mr. Holmes?" I asked.
"Hey Ms. Mitchell, is this a bad time?" he asked. He sounded a little off, causing me to raise an eyebrow.
"Uh, no sir. I'm just out running some errands. Is something wrong?" I asked referring more to him than anything else.
"Uhm, no dear! Nothing like that. I was just calling you to inform you that you have to be relocated to one of our newer buildings." he stammered.
"Uhmm, may I ask why?" I said in complete shock.
"The building has some faulty wiring and could be a potential fire hazard. So, it's best that I get everyone out and into a new place by the end of the week." he scrambled.
"Okay, thanks for calling, I guess. I'll be gone before the end of the week." I said, unsure and a bit upset.
"Okay dear, have a good day." he said. The line quickly went dead. After driving in silence for a few minutes, I arrived home. There was only mom's car in the driveway. I entered the house with the key that I was given to find mom struggling with some suitcases.
