Omniscient P.O.V.

Everyone is sitting at the dinner table: comfortable and seeming to be enjoying each other's company. There is a whole lot of sly comments, laughs and snorts flying every which way around the table as embarrassing yet hilarious secrets are being told.

Everything seemed to be going good.

Too good.

Of course, it didn't last long.

"That's not funny!" Mom said, turning red in the face as we laughed at Dad's story.

"Your family is awesome." Bella whispered in my ear, causing me to giggle.

Alana had left early...a little too early for my liking. She said something about a meeting in the morning. I looked over at Kyrie. He seemed to have loosened up a bit but he still seems a little irritated, probably because Dad keeps calling him Kevin. The thought caused me to chuckle.

"What's so funny?" Kyrie asked.

"Nothing, Kevin." I said cracking up and causing the entire room to erupt into laughter. I stood up and started to excuse myself when we heard the doorbell ring. "I'll get it." I said as I headed towards the door.

"Heyyy Ladybug." Uncle Roman sang as he came through the door and gave me a giant hug.

I giggled. "We've been through this already." I said as I took the cake from him.

"Yeah," he scoffed, "but this time I was actually invited." he said as he longed out his tongue. We walked into the dining room and I noticed that he stiffened beside me. He was staring at D'Jay...and D'Jay was staring back at him.

'Something is wrong.' I thought to myself. The entire atmosphere changed. It wasn't cozy anymore and the room started to become...tense. It wasn't the atmosphere that was tense, it was my boyfriend on the side of me that was tense.

"Baby, what's wrong?" I asked, rubbing his arm. Everyone turned to look at us.

"Uh, nothing." he said softly, "I think I had too much to drink. Mrs. King, where is your restroom?" he asked as he got up from the table.

'What the hell was that?' I thought. Mrs. King gave him a head nod to the front area.

"Roman. Please, take a seat." Mr. King said with a stern voice.

"Isabella, Kevin, This is Roman Hayes. A dear friend and somewhat of a brother to me." he seemed to spit out as he explained.

"Dad, stop calling him Kevin, his name is Kyrie." Layah explained as she sat back down at the table.

"But he looks like a Kevin, sweetheart." He scrunched up his face, causing me to laugh and distracting me from the disappearance of my boyfriend.

"It's Kyrie, sir." Kyrie, finally, spoke up. I almost forgot that he was here. Everyone shifted and looked at Kyrie after his bold statement.

I glanced at my watch and realized we were gonna be late to our parents' dinner.

"Excuse me, sweetie, but you look so familiar, do I know you?" Roman asked me, with a puzzle looked on his face.

Before I could answer, Mr. King spoke up for me. "This is D'Jay's girlfriend, Isabella and her brother Kyrie Simmons." he over-pronounced my brother's name, causing him to snort. "You've probably seen her around at the studio. You know how these young folks go with their 'significant others'." he said as he squinted at Kyrie, Roman nodding in realization and understanding.
