Clarke's point of view

On the way back to camp, I checked the group huddled up in the back every so often with a small smile that refused to go away.
And then I saw Bellamy and Echo sharing one of the blankets.
Smiling at each other.
A feeling pulsed through me that I haven't felt in a long time. I recognized it as jealousy.
Quickly averting my eyes from the scene, I dismissed the emotion. Of course new relationships would have been formed in the six years that they had spent on the Ring. Feelings change like the weather.
Not to mention that Bellamy was most likely certain that I was dead. He still had a life to live, after all.
It's not like I hadn't expected something like this to happen. It just hurt to actually see it.
I stopped looking in the back after that.
We later arrived at camp just as night fell, everyone exiting the rover.
I stepped out of the rover, looking towards our camp fire site that was in the middle of a few logs that Madi and I had positioned for a place to sit.
"Hey, Madi. See if you can get a fire going to warm us all up, hmm?" I called to Madi. The girl smiled at me, nodding.
I nodded my thanks to her and went to climb in the back of the rover to check our food stores.

Bellamy's point of view

I look at the sun starting to set over these small hill we were on. Everyone is sitting around the fire. Except clarke. I walk away from the group, looking down the hill. There sat clarke. I looked back at everyone once more, than walk down the hill.
I stand behind clarke quietly. She sits still looking up at the sky. Finally I broke the silence, "Hey..."
She looked back with a smile.
I sat down beside clarke on the old log. "What you doing out here?"

I shrugged, looking back out to the forest and the setting sun on the horizon.
"I came out here to think," I paused, looking down at my hands. "About where we go from here."
I turned to look at him. "Did you hear what that stranger said into my radio? About me being in good hands?"
He nodded, his eyes questioning.
"Well, it's a long story." I recounted what I had learned about the people of Eligus, about their disease caused from radiation, how they planned to keep Madi and I captive in their ship to harvest our bone marrow because our blood was the cure, and my deal with the High Superior.
"So, we have seven days to dig out the bunker, or else they'll come for me and Madi."

Bellamy's point of view

"We will start digging tomorrow," I nodded. "Get them out, make the night blood solution, and form a alliance with these Eligus people." I looked down at clarke who is lost in thought. "Hey," I say giving her a playful nudge. She looks up at me and shakes her head. "Sorry."
I smile and grab her hand giving it a reassuring squeeze. "It'll be okay."
She nods and looks down at our hands, still clasped together. I remove my hand and instead wrap my arm slowly around her bringing her closer towards me. She lays her head down on my chest and sighs, "I hope so." Looking down at her I notice she is beginning to drift off to sleep. But I wasn't letting go just yet.
