Clarke's point of viewI sped through the forest in the rover, panicked thoughts swirling in my mind.
Madi obviously had the same train of thought as me, because she turned to me and began firing questions, "How did they know we were here? Why were they looking for us? Why didn't we just shoot them?"
My fear and confusion got the better of me and I turned on her, yelling, "I don't know, Madi!"
She stared me, now silent.
I sighed, "I'm sorry. It's just..." I trailed off, continuing after a few beats, "I think they somehow heard us over the radios. I just don't know how, or what they want from us. I didn't open fire on them because they were wearing a special padding underneath their suits that we can't shoot through. We can't fight them with the guns."
Madi mulled this over. "Oh. What are we doing now, then?"
"Getting as far away from them as possible. We're not strong enough to fight them alone; we need more manpower," I paused, observing the colour of dusk in the sky. Night was falling. "We'll go back to camp, stay there for the night. Then, in the morning, we'll pack our things and head for Polis. Maybe they found a way to get out, or maybe some pieces of rubble have loosened up."
I met Madi's fearful eyes with my own, "We need their help now, more than ever."

I close the my door quietly behind me, not to wake the others. I slip past everyone else's door, into a empty hall that led to the huge window at the end of it.
"Oh clarke." I smile slightly as I place my hand against the large window facing Earth. I examine the large grey planet, slowly spinning. A small piece of green land catches my eye.
My mind is racing with thoughts.
'Is clarke there? Why haven't I ever seen that before? Is clarke-'
"Bellamy?"
My thoughts are interrupted by the small voice. It sounds like her... but it can't be.
"You okay?"
I turn around and see the small figure of the blonde girl I once knew.
"Clarke..."
A small smile spreads onto her face as she takes a few steps closer.
I smile and turn towards her grabbing her in my arms.
"Oh clarke," I cry, burying my head between her neck and her shoulder.
"Bellamy?"
I look up to see raven staring at me, Clarke gone.
"But she was just here," I whisper.
Raven looks at me with confusion, "Who?"
I sigh as I wipe a tear off my cheek, "nobody."
"You should get some sleep bellamy... you need it," raven sighs.
I look up and nod, "Alright..."
"Goodnight," raven smiles slightly.
"G'night..."
Raven turns away and heads down the other hall.
I look up to the large window again as a tear slides down my cheek once more.
"Oh clarke."

We arrived at our campsite 10 minutes later: perched atop a large hill overlooking the now still, ominous Eligus ship that was nestled in the forest below.
Madi and I got out of the rover, settling down and eating a portion of the preserved venison from a few days ago, when I had gotten lucky enough to see a deer, let alone shoot it.
I was now tucking Madi into her makeshift bed on top of one of the benches in the back of the rover.
"Clarke?" Her previously sleepy voice had shifted into fear. "What happens if the bad people find us?"
My heart twisted at the words and the scared look in her eyes. I hated seeing her like this. I hated not being able to guarantee her safety anymore.
And, honestly, I didn't know what would happen if they did happen to find us out here. The only weapon we had besides guns were knives, but everyone knows who would win if you brought a knife to a gun fight.
In short, we had a very low chance of escaping unscathed.
Still, I had to comfort her.
"They won't find us. There's know way they've been able to track us all the way back here on foot." I tucked a stray strand of brow hair behind her ear gently, giving her a soft smile, "We're safe."
I stood back up. "Now rest, my little natblida. Before you know it, you'll open your eyes again and it will be morning, and we'll be off to Polis."
I jumped to the ground from the back of the rover. I had my hands on both of the doors, ready to swing them shut, when Madi stopped me.
"No! Leave the doors open!"
I immediately remembered why she wanted them to stay open at night: her family used to believe that sleeping in the fresh air would keep away any nightmares. It was one of the few things Madi had told me about her late family.
"Right, right, sorry," I flashed her an apologetic smile, stepping away from the doors and showing my hands in mock surrender.
She smiled, satisfied, and lay back down.
I looked towards the edge of the hill, spying the log that I had previously sat on this morning to radio the ring.
I made my way over to it.

'Her voice fades and goes quiet as I look her in the eyes. "That's not what I'm talking about."
My eyes fill with worry. I know exactly what she means.
"If anything happens to me-"
"Nothing is happening to you," I say grabbing her shoulders. I fight back the tears as she looks up into my eyes. 'I shake the memory outta my mind and step away from the window.
"You bellamy, breakfast?"
I turn around to see Monty with a smile on his face.
"More algae? Why not," I smirk.
"Come on," Monty waves for me to follow as he turns away heading back down the small hall.
I look back at the window once more before following him into the "kitchen" as Monty calls it but really it's just where he grows the algae.
"Morning Blake," raven smiles.
"Morning," I nod.
Murphy walks out hand in hand with emori, "Another game of cards tonight guys?"
"So I can beat you all again? Sure," I smirk.
"Nah maybe I can beat you," Murphy smirks.
"Hah okay."
"Hey bellamy do you still have that spare radio in your room?"
I look at raven who has a mouth full of algae.
"Ya raven... why?"
"Can u get it for me, I need the parts in it," She smiles.
"Ya sure," I nod.
I turn around and head down the hall that lead to the rooms.
"Now where did I set that," I whisper to myself. "Oh ya!"
I pull open the desk drawer that sits against the metal wall.
"Here we go," I nod as I grab the small radio and head out the door.
I close the door and look down at the radio, pushing a few buttons until a small green light turn on.
A small crackle come from the speaker in it.
"What the..."
I turn the dial on the side turning Chanels until it's clear.
I put the radio up to my mouth and hold down the button, "Hello?"
The line goes staticky until a small voice comes through.
"Bellamy?"
