Chapter Fifty

Bellamys point of view

"Any luck?" I whisper into the radio.
"No... you?"
"No," I respond.
There's a quick pause before her voice echos threw the radio once again. "It's starting to get cold..."
I let out a silent laugh. "Okay Harper you go inside... I'm gonna stay out for a little longer."
"Alright."
"Over and out."
I slide the radio into my pocket and lower myself onto the ground in a comfortable position.
I haven't had a comfortable sleep in forever... maybe I'll just have a little nap.
I close my eyes and listen to the trees sway with the wind. The branches brushing against the others. Then I finally drift off to sleep.

A small voice comes from my left.
"Bellamy?"
I want to get up and respond but I'm to tired. I let out a moan and turn onto my side.
"Hey," the voice laughs.
I feel a small hand rest on my forearm and a smile spreads onto my face.
I open my eyes to see Clarke over me.
"Hey," I mumble.
"Look... I know your still mad at me and-"
"No." I cut her off. " I was an ass and you don't deserve to be disrespected... your just trying to save your people," I sigh.
"Our people."
I nod and sit up straight, entwining my fingers with hers.
"I just don't want those innocent children to be killed for what their parents have done."
"I know," she sighs. "And they won't... I made you a promise... I'm going to keep it."
"Thank you," I smile.
She nods and brings my hand up to her mouth, placing a kiss along my knuckles.
I pull her closer and rest her head on my shoulder, placing a kiss on her forehead.
A blush creeps onto her face and she snuggles in closer.
"I love you," she smiles.
"I love you too princess."

Okay I'm sorry it's a short chapter but I've been busy! I've just had a lot to do ever since my grandma passed away. For example cleaning out her house, collecting her stuff, etc. But I promise the chapters will be longer. Besides we have lots of ideas😊.
