Clarke's point of view
My eyes caught on the sight of Bellamy and Madi sitting together, smiles on their faces as they spoke to each other.
The display made me feel warm affection for the both of them and the fact that two people that I really cared about were getting along.
When I announced that I was going hunting, Bellamy stood up.
"I'll go with you."
I nodded. The company was always welcome. "Okay, go get rifle and a knife from the rover. Luckily, the Eligus people left me spares."
Once he was in the back of the rover and out of earshot, I saw Madi giving me a look. A smirk playing across her face, an eye brow raised, a teasing glint in her eyes.
I knew what she was implying, and I rolled my eyes. "Madi..." I warned playfully.
She grinned, pressing further by waggling her eye brows.
"Stop!" I laughed.
As Bellamy hopped out of the back of the rover, I shot Madi a look to stay quiet.
"Let's go," I called back to him as I made my way into the shadows of the falling darkness.
I heard Madi quietly snickering behind me as I left.

We dodge our way through the trees, keeping quiet not to scare the animals away.
"So... what were you and Madi talking about?"
I look over to clarke who has a small smile on her face.
"She was asking about space," I smile. "If I was scared and stuff like that."
Clarke raised a eyebrow, "and what did you say?"
"I told her I was scared I wasn't going to see Octavia or you ever again."
Clarke stops and smiles. "We will get them out soon. Octavia will be so happy to see you."
I nod with a smile, "yeah."
We head off again. "So, What were you and Madi talking about. When I turned around to the rover I heard you telling Madi to stop something. Then she started laughing as we left." I smirk raising an eyebrow, "What's that all about?"
————————————————————————————————————————Clarke's point of view
My eyes widened at the question, and I quickly rushed with my answer, "It was nothing important."
I saw Bellamy raise an eyebrow suspiciously, opening his mouth to respond.
Spotting movement in a bush to our left, I froze, raising my hand for silence. Recognizing the signal, he stilled as well, following my gaze.
Readying the rifle that had been slung over my shoulder, I slowly moved forward towards the bush. Crouching when I was in the cover of the bush, I looked out into the clearing that led back out into the barrens, laying my eyes on what had caught my attention.
Small brown, furry hindquarters were visible in a patch of grass beside a medium sized rock.
A hare.
I grinned. I had originally thought that animals wouldn't be attracted to this place because of the lack of resources. The hare wasn't much, but coming across it was a stroke of luck.
I looked over to Bellamy, who was crouched beside me. I bumped my shoulder with his, a challenging gleam in my eye.
"Let's see if you still know your way around that thing, eh?" I nodded at his rifle.
He smirked, giving me a curt nod and aiming at the hare.
I held my breath. We couldn't miss this chance.
The crack of his shot sounded, the bullet planting into the grass a few inches from the target.
The hare was off. Quickly thinking, I lined the sprinting hare in my sights and downed it before Bellamy could finish his curse.
I walked over to the hare, holding the limp body triumphantly as I smirked smugly at Bellamy.
He rolled his eyes at my display, "Alright, stop gloating. I haven't held a gun in six years, much less shot one."
"About that," I set the carcass down on the ground, spying a pinecone lying beside the rock. I picked it up, continuing, "Now that you're back on the ground again, you need to get used to handling a gun as soon as possible. What better a time than now?" I held the pinecone in the air for him to see, and then I placed it on it's side on the rock.
He frowned, "It's a bit dark for target practice, don't you think?"
"You need to be ready at any time of the day."
Letting out a sigh, he aimed at the pinecone.
I quickly knocked the pinecone rolling down the rock by tossing a pebble at it with a quick flick of the wrist.
In that second, Bellamy shot, his bullet ricocheting off the rock's surface.
He lowered the gun, letting out an indignant cry, "What the hell, Clarke?!"
I shrugged. "Your opponent isn't going to stand in place and wait for you to shoot him."
Setting the unscathed pinecone back on top of the rock and sneakily grabbing another pebble, I stepped back. "Again."
This time, I flung the pebble at the pinecone from a different angle. The pinecone was knocked to the side, falling off of the rock.
Predicting my movements, Bellamy shot the pinecone as it was falling. I watched proudly as the bullet tore into the pinecone, its pieces littering the grass.
Bellamy grinned triumphantly at me.
"Good job! If you can hit a moving target, you can definitely hit a still one. Let's go see if we can find another animal to bring back to camp. This hare isn't much," I informed, slinging the body of the hare over my back as we both moved back into the trees.
