Chapter seventeen

Clarke's point of view

I sighed, irritated. "Yes, okay?"
I softened my tone, searching his eyes. "I did. But, I understand. If Echo is the one you want to be with, I respect your decision." My heart ached as I heard the words slip out of my lips.
But I had been in this situation before, with Finn. With more feelings involved, I couldn't risk my heart being broken by someone that I loved so much.

Bellamy's point of view

"No Clarke, echo is not who I want to be with," I shake my head and look over to where echo sat, looking back with a frown.
Clarke looks up and sighs, turning away to go back with the others.
I grab her hand to stop her, intwining my fingers with hers once again. "I don't know what want clarke... but what I do know is that I don't want echo. I just... need to find myself again. Get used to earth, and everything on it."
Clarke nods and looks up again with a small smile. I place my hand behind her head, bringing her closer, place a small kiss on Clarke's forehead.

Clarke's point of view

I took a moment, savouring the feeling of his soft lips on my forehead. I stroked my thumb over the back of his hand, giving it a little squeeze as I spoke, "Let's go tell the rest about digging out Onekru."
I needed to do this quickly. My life, but more importantly Madi's life, was riding on us getting them all out. We needed to figure out an effective way to move the rubble.

Bellamy's point of view

"Okay," I nod and we both turn to the others. Everyone is lost in conversation.
"Guys!"
Everyone directs their gaze to me. Raven looks up with a grin, "yeah bellamy?"
"Clarke has a job for us."
I nod and everyone's gaze now goes to clarke.
