Clarke's point of viewAfter Bellamy and I had parted ways for the night (he had told me that he needed to prepare his secret spot for us before he went to sleep and I assumed that he must be planning something big if he was getting it ready this early, so I left him to it), I headed back into Medical.
The main halls weren't as busy at this hour, but Medical was still bustling. With all of my years in Medical back on the Ark, the amount of activity didn't surprise me. I navigated with ease through the crowd and into Madi's room.
Pulling the curtain closed behind me, I was greeted by the sight of Madi's peaceful face as she slept. I had worried that she wouldn't be able to sleep well in the bunker, away from the fresh air and the soft light of the moon and the stars, so I was relieved to see that she was already fast asleep. If she did happen to wake up, my presence would comfort her.
Quietly propping my crutches up against the wall, I settled into a chair beside Madi's bed. It definitely wasn't the most comfortable place to sleep, but I would just have to make do. The meeting was tomorrow morning, and I needed as much rest as I could get.
My eyes landed on a tray containing a small amount of rationed meat that had been placed on the bedside stand next to me. I suddenly became aware of how empty my stomach felt. I'd had pretty much nothing to eat all day.
I looked again at Madi, watching her stomach rising slowly up and down. She was in a deep sleep, she wouldn't be waking up any time soon.
The meat wouldn't be good in the morning. My years of starving had taught me how precious this small bit of meat was. I couldn't just let it go to waste.
I took the tray in my lap, eating ravenously. It wasn't much, but it was enough to keep my hunger at bay for a little while. If the bunker had begun to ration their food, I would have to deal with my hunger until we returned to the ground. The others had to eat first.
I finally fell asleep to the familiar sounds of Medical outside of the curtain.

When my eyes fluttered open again, it took me a few seconds of confusion before I figured out where I was.
I instantly cast my gaze to Madi, who had rolled over in her sleep. I could only see her dark hair, and I assumed that she was still sleeping.
Groaning slightly as I sat up due to my stiff joints from sleeping in a sitting position for the entire night, I limped to the edge of the bed. Leaning over and gently tucking a strand of hair behind Madi's ear, I planted a soft kiss on the side of her head before collecting my crutches and venturing out into Medical.
I immediately noticed how quiet the room was. I spotted only a couple of nurses making their rounds from room to room.
Making my way into the main room of Medical, I noticed how empty the room was compared to the action of yesterday.
My gaze landed on Jackson and Kane, who were in a quiet discussion by the doorway. I made my way over to them, taking note of their solemn expressions.
As I got closer, I caught the end of Marcus's sentence: "-won't put up with being down here for much longer."
Jackson silently shook his head.
"Hey," I kept my voice quiet to match theirs, "What's going on? Where is everyone?"
Marcus sighed, turning towards me, "Octavia just announced publicly that she's postponing the meeting this morning because the majority of her advisors aren't recovered enough to show up. She's holding it tomorrow morning at the latest. She'll reach a decision with whoever is well enough to attend."
"People aren't taking it well," Jackson added, "They want to get out of here as soon as possible, myself included."
"My main concern is our food supply. We've been rationing ever since last year. Two meals a day, and then one," Kane sounded tired, "Nowadays, there's hardly anything left."
I saw a figure moving outside Medical. I glanced through the glass doors to see Bellamy striding quickly through the hallway. I watched as he moved with purpose, and I was reminded of his plans for tonight. My gaze trailed him before he disappeared into another hallway, the sight of his concentration bringing a small smile to my face despite the news that I had just received.
Jackson noticed my expression and followed my gaze, confused. "What is it?"
I wiped the smile off of my face, "Nothing." I looked back at the both of them, nodding determinedly as I spoke, "We'll make a decision tomorrow. I'll make sure that we get out of this bunker, one way or another."
-------------------------------------------Bellamy's point of view
Pushing through the people, I finally got to the small hallway. I make my way down it, passing two people and finally turn to the very last closet to the left. Since I emptied it earlier this morning, it's easier to get into. Then, closing the door behind me, I get onto my hands and knees, twist the small nob on the floor, and push in the trap door. I stare down the ladder that leads to the unnoticed, untouched underground of the bunker. I carefully climb down the metal ladder until my feet hit the dirt covered floor.
Perfect.
I look around at the lit candles I placed all over the tunnel earlier and fix the few blankets and pillows I had set up.
'Hopefully Clarke likes it,' I think to myself as I run my fingers over the small record player that I carefully carried down this morning. Then I pick up the record balancing on it and turn on the record player. Suddenly the music starts to play and happiness fills me, knowing that it works.
After listening to a whole song, I turn it off and quickly check everything else. I make sure every candle is lit, that every pillow and blanket is in the perfect place, and that the whiskey and cups are set where they belong.
It's perfect.
I guess it's time to go get Clarke.
I quickly climb up the metal ladder and close the hidden floor door behind me. Then I open the closet door and step out. Making sure nobody sees, I close the closet door and make my way down the hallway to the main hall to find Clarke.
As I push through the bodies that fill the room I finally spot the blonde, talking to Kane.
"Hey Clarke!" I call, bouncing as I step closer.
She turns to look at me and a huge grin spreads on her face.
"Hey bell," she smiles.
"Ready?"
"Yeah!" She laughs.
"Um..." I look toward Kane but before I continue he finishes for me.
"I'll let you two go," he nods.
"Thanks," I smile. Then he turns away.
After watching Kane turn around the hall, I grab Clarke's hand and pull her through the people.
She laughs the entire way until we get to the small hallway.
"Close your eyes," I grin.
"What?" She laughs.
"Do it!"
Clarke groans and I jump behind her, placing my hands over her eyes.
"Hey!" She yells. "I can't see!"
"Good," I grin.
Then I lead her down the small hall until we get to the closet door.
"Here... keep your eyes closed," I whisper as I open the closet door.
I then push her in and close the door behind us.
"Bellamy, where are you taking me?" she laughs.
"Shhh! You'll see."
Then I pull open the floor door and lead Clarke over to it.
"Okay... open your eyes just for a second until you touch the ladder... then close them again."
"What?" She laughs.
"Shhhh... just do it," I smile.
She lets out a giggle and then steps onto the ladder.
"Alright now close your eyes."
"I swear Blake, if I fall-"
"You won't," I laugh.
Then Clarke begins to make her way down the ladder. I follow down and close the floor door behind me. Then she jumps off, thrusting her arms out quickly to feel her way around.
Then as I quickly jump off i grab Clarke's hand.
"Okay... ready?"
"Yes!" She giggles.
"Okay... look."
Then, she opens her eyes letting out a gasp. How was this chapter? Good? Bad? Your comments give us inspiration! Thanks for reading guys! You're amazing!!😁
