It had been a month since Crowley captured Annabelle and Kevin. He wasn't going to let them leave anytime soon. Unless they planned their own escape. The only kind gesture Crowley gave was giving Annabelle her soul back. Especially since he had partial blame in it being gone in the first place.

Currently, Kevin was working on a spell while Annabelle was hunting for Crowley. She was getting the ingredients Kevin needed for the spell. Though, she was the only other person that knew that he wasn't really opening a gate to hell. He was sending demons back. He was going to buy them time to escape.

"Hey, so I got the fourth of a thousand year old siren's liver. Along with the two quarts of demon blood," Annabelle said looking at the jar of blood. She sighed, then walked to her car. "I'm heading back."

"Okay, should be ready after that," Kevin said, trying to sound disappointed.

"Yup, ready," Annabelle said. She sighed, then hung up. She turned the car on, then started driving back to the warehouse. Upon reaching there, she walked upstairs, handing the last bit of the ingredients to Kevin. She smirked at him, winking then turning back to the stairs. Kevin put the last of the ingredients into the potion, then grabbed the matches.

"Right away," the demon said hanging up his phone. "Mr. Crowley would like you to proceed."

"Where is Mr. Crowley?" Kevin asked pausing his action.

"Where do you think, dumbass? Wisconsin," the demon snapped. Annabelle clenched her fists, then realized it would be over in a second. "Go." Kevin smiled, lighting the match. He dropped it into the bowl. The flames lit up, and the demons were blasted back. Only their shadows remained on the wall. Annabelle grabbed the tablet, and started running. Kevin following short after her.

Annabelle leaned against the telephone booth glass. She had called Sam maybe twelve times now. This was her last call.

"Hey, Sam. For probably the millionth time, it's Annabelle. Just wanted to let you know that Kevin Tran and I escaped Crowley's custody and we're on the run. Give me a call at my number after I get my phone back. You know, if you're alive. Alright, bye." She hung up the phone, then walked over to Kevin who was putting gas in the car Annabelle had hot wired.

"No answer?" Kevin asked and Annabelle shook her head.

"Nothing. Hopefully he's searching for Dean and not slacking off. If I found out he's slacking I'm gonna kill him," Annabelle said as she sat on the hood of the car.

"So, why would Crowley want to take you?" Kevin asked. Annabelle furrowed her eyebrows, then looked at Kevin.

"Leverage? I don't know. He's always been messing with me," Annabelle said leaning back. "The important thing is that we are alive. Right?" Kevin nodded in agreement, then payed the gas money. Within a minute, they were on their way.

The two fugitives made their way far away from where Crowley kept them. Annabelle had watched Kevin drift in and out of slumber over and over again. She had the radio on low, and kept her eyes on the road. The first stop would be the cabin to grab what she needed, then go.

As they pulled up, Annabelle grabbed her dagger from her boot, and started getting out of the car. Kevin got out of the passenger seat, and Annabelle unlocked the door easily. She walked in the house, going straight for the cabinet. She spotted her phone, and some of her clothes. She then saw the demon dagger, and grabbed it. She shoved them all into her bag, then walked to the kitchen.

"Help yourself to any of the clothes. And the rest of the cash is in the mattress in the guest bedroom," Annabelle said to Kevin. He nodded, gathering what he needed. Annabelle got all the food that was perishable and didn't require cooking. Mainly fruits and vegetables, along with cereal, bread, and snacks. There was still some pie left over, but she decided to leave it.

"Hey, is this one of Sam's cell phones?" Kevin asked walking into the room. Annabelle turned around, looking at it. She furrowed her eyebrows, then walked forward. She unlocked it with Bobby's birth year, and checked the messages. They were all from her.

"It's his other other other cell phone, he doesn't use it as much," she said breathing in. That's what she wanted to believe. "We should get going. This is definitely a place Crowley would suspect us coming to."

"You're right," Kevin said. He grabbed the bags he filled, and Annabelle set the phone down. They left the house, throwing the bags in the car. Soon, they were off again.

For the night, Annabelle drove. She was mainly driving aimlessly, having no real destination. Where was she supposed to go? She couldn't locate Sam, Kevin wasn't giving her an address, and she had no real home to return to. For one, she felt stranded. Yes, she had Kevin, but she really didn't have anywhere to go. They could stop at a motel, but that was priority two. Priority one was getting as far away from Crowley as possible.

"What about my mom? Or my girlfriend?" Kevin asked making Annabelle chuckle.

"Crowley most likely has your mom's house crawling with demons. And I hope you mean ex-girlfriend," Annabelle said looking at the road sign they would pass. Carthage.

"What do you mean?" Kevin asked making Annabelle look over at him.

"You've been gone for a month or two. Also, you said the last time you spoke to her you told her that God was sending you on a mission. Then you proceeded to tell her you thought you were having a seizure." Annabelle took a minute as she leaned back in the driver's seat. "I'm almost positive your relationship is over."

"That doesn't mean I can't check on her," Kevin remarked.

"Actually it does. That's weird and girls don't like it. Plus, Crowley knows everything about everyone. Chances are her dorm buddy is a demon just waiting for you to come find her," Annabelle said. Kevin furrowed his eyebrows, then looked over at Annabelle.

"How are you so sure?" he asked. Annabelle glanced over at him with confusion in her eyes.

"Man, you really are that new to this," she muttered, then smiled a bit. "You don't get it. This is Crowley's game. He wants power, he wants to cause harm. Of course he's going to use the people closest to us to draw us in. That's what monsters always do. Especially Crowley. It brings him joy." Kevin looked back in front of him, not protesting again. There was silence before Annabelle sighed. "Just get some sleep. I'll tell you when we get far enough away." Kevin nodded, then leaned his head against the window.
