The bag was removed from Annabelle's head, making her squint her eyes shut. She opened them slightly to let them adjust to the light. She opened them fully to realize that she was in a warehouse. She looked around, knowing someone had to have taken the bag off of her head.
When no one was there, she let her head fall back. Her heart pounded in her chest as she sat in the room alone. She was in chains with no way to pick any locks. She heard screaming from one room, making her head snap in the direction.
She took a minute to try and recognize the voice of the scream. She stopped when she could finally make out the voice. It sounded exactly like Sam's. She began worrying of what had happened, and looked down at her hands again. For a few minutes, she forgot she was teleport out of the chains easily.
Annabelle looked up as she saw the door opening, a million people running through her mind. Her number one guess would be Crowley, seeing as he is obsessed with her and Kevin. He also needs the other half of the demon tablet. Her guess, though, was a hundred percent correct.
"Well, look what the cat dragged in," Crowley stated walking forward. Annabelle was about to speak, then she realized that the screaming had stopped. Which meant one of two things. She was really hoping it wasn't the second thing. "Cat got you're tongue?"
"A lot of cat jokes for a pussy like you," Annabelle snapped looking over at him. Crowley chuckled, picking up what looked like some weird torture device. He held it up as if he was going to put it on Annabelle's head, then set it back down on the table. "So, you finally got your toys back. Now you want to use them again, but on something stronger than people, than maybe even your grunt demons."
"You have that correct," Crowley said picking up a different type of torture device.
"I really hope you magic proofed these shackles," Annabelle stated looking around. She had actually been at the house boat for the past few hours, and this mirage was taking her place. She paid for the groceries before she sent a mirage outside to the demons. Currently Annabelle was focusing her energy into this mirage.
"Oh, I did," Crowley stated with a smirk.
"Then how come you haven't checked if I'm a mirage yet?" Annabelle asked tilting her head. Crowley paused, taking her words into consideration. "Poke and prod into me all you want. You'll find nothing because I am nothing. This, me right here, is fake. I'm actually back in a cave, hiding from your demons. Sorry, Crowley. Maybe you shouldn't underestimate my power."

Annabelle sat in the house boat as Kevin was translating the tablet from across the room. Of course she shifted his hot dog diet slightly and made sure he was getting sleep. She did give up on the cleanliness, though. It was beginning to become out of her reach so she let it go. Just the life of the job.
Kevin stood up, pinning another piece of paper to the board. Annabelle glanced over as he sighed, then walked back over to the table. She pulled her headphones off, pulling her feet down from the counter. She grabbed a water bottle, walking over to Kevin. Before he could put his headphones back on, she pulled up a chair and set the water in front of him.
"Drink up. You need to take a short break," Annabelle said sliding the tablet away from him. Kevin sighed, uncapping the water bottle and chugging half of it. "Better?"
"Yeah. Thanks," Kevin said trying to muster a smile. Annabelle smiled at him, ruffling his hair and standing up.
"I'm gonna hit the hay. You probably should to, it's been a long day," Annabelle said beginning to walk to the bed.
"I'll be there in a minute," Kevin said waving to Annabelle. She nodded, falling onto the bed and taking off her flannel. She pulled the cover over herself, looking at the wall. Five minutes later, Kevin crawled in the bed next to her, resting his arm over her body. She turned to face him, sighing slightly.
"Once this is over, you realize that you may not be able to get out of the life," Annabelle said, frowning slightly.
"Yeah, I know," Kevin said suddenly very overwhelmed. He started thinking about how much he was trying to do to get away from it, but he's beginning to see that it doesn't end. His only light at the end of the tunnel is Annabelle.
"And if we do get out," Annabelle whispered under her breath, "what's the plan?" Kevin paused, not knowing how to answer the question. He hadn't really thought of it, and hadn't thought of a life after this yet. He was mainly focused on the stupid tablet day in and day out, trying to translate the only half he had of it.
"I don't know," Kevin responded honestly. He sighed, pulling Annabelle into his chest. "We'll figure it out, we always do." Annabelle smiled, leaning her head into him. This was all she needed, and she never wanted this to end.

The day started like any other. Get up, start translating the tablet, eat, drink coffee, then sleep again. Each day was a progression towards translating the full tablet. The only thing was, Kevin resorted back to the hot dog diet. Annabelle had been gone on several hunts in the time that Kevin was alone.
He saw Garth of course, along with his mom maybe once, and Annabelle twice. He had a sleeping schedule of four hours, a diet of pigs anus, and then beans that smelled of paper and wheat mixed together. It wasn't that good, but it was good enough for him.
Kevin got up that day though, making the normal coffee. He sat down at the table, pulling the tablet towards him. It shook in his hands, making him sigh once more. Kevin put the tablet down, writing down what he saw this time. He picked up the little sticky note, taking it to the board.
He pinned it up, stepping back. He was about to turn back to the table when he looked at the board. Everything he had up there connected, and it was all right. He had everything he needed from the half of the tablet, and had translated it.
"Holy crap," he muttered in disbelief. "Holy crap!" he yelled more excited. Kevin then felt something dripping from his nose, reaching up to find blood dripping down. "Holy crap." He collapsed onto the ground, but at least he translated the tablet.
